With hesitant steps and a kitchen knife in hand, Claire makes her way to the storeroom where the noise came from. The lights in the tiny room were off as usual yet the soft wind hitting her nose tells her that she had forgotten to shut the window. As she walks over to the window, the door shuts close behind her, making her yelp and turn around. She isn't alone. Before she could think of her next move, the brunette is pinned to the wall behind her by a firm grip on her neck.
She couldn't see the face of her attacker but his strong scent of rain mixed with the metallic smell of his blood hits her nostrils. Claire could tell the Rogue is smirking with his face so close to hers and as his grip tightens on her throat, her air supply gets cut short. Her lips quiver only to say one word, "..Mate..."

I stand watching the rogue who was in his mid-shift form, ready to attack me once again. "You ready, love?", he asks in his dual-toned voice. It's been three days since my mate has lowered his walls. He has changed a lot since then.


His behavior towards me is one of them. The pet names he uses for me is now not the only thing that conveys his love for me. His gaze itself shows his affection. He now touches me more and makes love to me every night, darkening the hickeys that got light.


I nod, preparing myself and the rogue charges at me. I quickly duck as he tries to smack me in the face and try to get behind him. That's what Alex has said to me. Since I am stuck in my human form for now, attacking from front is not an option for me.
