Chapter 5 It\'s HIM or HER

We reach the Blue Moon Pack in a short time. I open my eyes and get down from the car.

As soon as I come out, I breathed in the clean and fresh air.

The environment in Canada and New York is almost the same.

But there is mostly forest area, which gives a clean environment and to wolves’ large area to shift and run without being noticed.

Lucas’s pack is small comparatively mine but it is the second-largest pack after Red Moon Stone, my pack.

Lucas’s pack is surrounded by mountains and the river flows from the mountains to the Pack ground.

We all walk inside and a pleasant smell of egg and bacon and baked vanilla cake welcomes us.

Then Evelyn emerges from the kitchen and goes straight to Lucas who welcomes her with open arms.

They share a chaste kiss and then she turns and welcomes us with her beautiful smile.

“Hello Alpha Christopher and Beta Stefan”. She gives a slight nod to greet us formally.

We both nod and say our Hello.

“You all must be very tired after a long journey. Please sit and enjoy the drinks. The meal will be ready in a short time”. She says. After that, she is about to walk toward the kitchen.

“it’s okay Luna Evelyn. You don’t need to be in trouble for us”. I spoke as I try not to be troublesome to her.

She giggles and says “Christopher, our official greetings have done. So, you don’t need to be too formal with me. We all are friends and I am going to fill my friend’s stomach. So, you can’t say no”.

She and Lucas are truly fated mates. They both are friendly and care for others.

I give her a small node whereas Stefan as usual starts to hang around Evelyn. Where he can meet more she-wolves.

I shake my head and turn towards Lucas.

Let’s go to the study and talk.

We both walk toward his study room.

His study room is very spacious. He has a large desk in front of the French window, where you can see the whole pack with a comfortable leather chair.

One side is a sofa set and a bar adjoining the sofa.

The other side has a large bookshelf which has many ancient and new books on wolfs.

Lucas goes to the bar area and poured two glasses of whisky while I sit on the sofa.

“So, what do you have to say about these murders?” I ask when he gives me my glass full of whisky.

He takes a sip and sits beside me.

“As I told you earlier, it is not like any other murder case we have looked through. It is not normal. Those wolves were running that club under our noses and we didn’t know and when we get the information, they all were murdered, brutally.

And surprisingly that murderer didn’t free those girls but left”. He tells his analysis.

I nod and then ask again “Why do you think that murderer did this? Why he or she didn’t free those girls?”

“I don’t know. Maybe the murdered did know where are the girls” Lucas shrugs.

“Or that murderer doesn’t want to show his or her identity. So, he or she didn’t come in front of those girls if any case someone notices or recognize”. I tell my evaluation.

Lucas looks at me in confusion.

So, I continue, “This Killer actually killed werewolves, who were ruthless and lawless.

Then, we didn’t find any scent of either wolf or human. Apart from it, the killer fed wolfsbane to them. So, there was not any sign of struggle.

Therefore, he knows about wolves as his scent was also masked.

And it killed them brutally.

And most importantly, all cameras’ recording was damaged so that they can’t be retrieved.

So, the person who can hack those cameras and damage the recording skilfully. He must know where the kidnapped girls were.

And according to information about Black Shadow. It could be her”.

“HER!!!” Lucas exclaims.

“Do you know Black Shadow”?

I merely smile and start walking toward the French window with my glass of whisky.

As I stand in front of the window and take a sip.

“I don’t know, but my instinct tells me that the Black Shadow can be a female”.

As we are talking, a knock interrupted our conversation. Then Evelyn’s voice sounds after that.

“Honey, have you done talking” she addresses Lucas.

“Yes My Luna, please come in”. he has always that boyish grin whenever Evelyn is around.

Evelyn opens the door with a sweet smile on her face.

“Meal is ready. Come down before it gets cold or may I say if it is all finished by Stefan”. She chuckles.

Stefan is also a number one foodie apart from playboy. But he still keeps his physics intact as he does intense training daily.

We all follow her down to the dining hall. Where Stefan already has munched half of his food.

We all sit and starts to eat.

Evelyn was one hell of a cook as she can cook the tastiest food aside from my mother.
