Following a miserable, wretched life and a tragic, untimely death, the protagonist finds himself reincarnated as a baby in a different world to the one he was in before. In this world, there are people with special powers, known as Alters.

However, Alters are a minority in this world, and are discriminated against severely. Initially believe that he doesn't possess any powers, the protagonist soon realizes that he has inherited an ancient power, a power that only one other being has previously possessed in this world.

Black Blood, the power that had originated in the Progenitor of Alters, the very first human to develop powers in this world, and from whom all existing Alters are descended from. 

Determined to avoid going through the strife and hardship of his previous life, the protagonist decides to keep his powers hidden and strive to live a peaceful life in this new world. 

But it doesn't last long, his peaceful life is shattered and he gets thrust into the cruel reality of this world, a world wracked with prejudice and conflict. And it soon becomes apparent to him, that any peace he had hoped to find in this world, he would have to fight for...

"Alright, here I go," Remarked Parmila as Theo shot towards the gunmen, her fist vibrating rapidly as she stepped out around the corner, cracks appearing on the floor beneath her feet before she bent her knees and leapt forward with immense force, shattering the tiles underfoot as a powerful gust of wind burst out.

She covered the distance in the blink of an eye, shooting through the air as she drew back her fist, before driving it forward as she closed in on the barrier trapping the two men who were forced to fight, slamming her fist onto the barrier with a devastating impact.

"Hahaha, looks like things are starting to heat up!" Laughed the man with the baby hostages as he glanced in her direction.
