Following a miserable, wretched life and a tragic, untimely death, the protagonist finds himself reincarnated as a baby in a different world to the one he was in before. In this world, there are people with special powers, known as Alters.

However, Alters are a minority in this world, and are discriminated against severely. Initially believe that he doesn't possess any powers, the protagonist soon realizes that he has inherited an ancient power, a power that only one other being has previously possessed in this world.

Black Blood, the power that had originated in the Progenitor of Alters, the very first human to develop powers in this world, and from whom all existing Alters are descended from. 

Determined to avoid going through the strife and hardship of his previous life, the protagonist decides to keep his powers hidden and strive to live a peaceful life in this new world. 

But it doesn't last long, his peaceful life is shattered and he gets thrust into the cruel reality of this world, a world wracked with prejudice and conflict. And it soon becomes apparent to him, that any peace he had hoped to find in this world, he would have to fight for... 

What lies in wait for him in this new world? Will he find peace in this world, or is he destined for something darker? What's the secret behind the power of his Black Blood? There's only one way to find out...

My eyes couldn't fully keep up...it was a blur, happening in a mere instant. A sharp burst of power exploded out, the whites of his eyes turned black as wings and a tail grew out of his body, and then, he vanished from sight.

And by the time I spotted him again, he was already right in front of the man's barrier, which was shattering apart as he struck it with his tail. A large, oval-shaped glowing red crystal formed on his forehead, as long, jagged horns began growing out from either side of his head.

Black Blood burst out of his right hand, taking the shape of a scythe...and cleaving the man's head off in the blink of an eye. He then slashed at the straps holding the last surviving baby onto the man's torso.
