Following a miserable, wretched life and a tragic, untimely death, the protagonist finds himself reincarnated as a baby in a different world to the one he was in before. In this world, there are people with special powers, known as Alters.

However, Alters are a minority in this world, and are discriminated against severely. Initially believe that he doesn't possess any powers, the protagonist soon realizes that he has inherited an ancient power, a power that only one other being has previously possessed in this world.

Black Blood, the power that had originated in the Progenitor of Alters, the very first human to develop powers in this world, and from whom all existing Alters are descended from. 

Determined to avoid going through the strife and hardship of his previous life, the protagonist decides to keep his powers hidden and strive to live a peaceful life in this new world. 

But it doesn't last long, his peaceful life is shattered and he gets thrust into the cruel reality of this world, a world wracked with prejudice and conflict. And it soon becomes apparent to him, that any peace he had hoped to find in this world, he would have to fight for... 

What lies in wait for him in this new world? Will he find peace in this world, or is he destined for something darker? What's the secret behind the power of his Black Blood? There's only one way to find out...

"Uh...h-hey, Theo. Good morning," I greeted him with an awkward wave.

"Oh, hey, Ar-...hmph!" He began, before letting out a huff and walking away.

Ah, he's still sulking, I see. After Xandra asked me out, I felt that it was only fair that I tell him about it in advance, given his feelings...and he wasn't too happy about it.

Man, that was an awkward conversation. It's been a couple of days since then, but it doesn't look like he's over it, or that he'll get over it any time soon. It's honestly kinda bumming me out, I hope he gets over it soon.

I mean, I do consider him to be my closest friend...which is kinda embarrassing to even think about. I think I'd die of embarrassment if I said it out loud.

I think he forgot that he was mad at me for a second, but then remembered once he looked at me...yeah, this might go on for a while.
