Following a miserable, wretched life and a tragic, untimely death, the protagonist finds himself reincarnated as a baby in a different world to the one he was in before. In this world, there are people with special powers, known as Alters.

However, Alters are a minority in this world, and are discriminated against severely. Initially believe that he doesn't possess any powers, the protagonist soon realizes that he has inherited an ancient power, a power that only one other being has previously possessed in this world.

Black Blood, the power that had originated in the Progenitor of Alters, the very first human to develop powers in this world, and from whom all existing Alters are descended from. 

Determined to avoid going through the strife and hardship of his previous life, the protagonist decides to keep his powers hidden and strive to live a peaceful life in this new world. 

But it doesn't last long, his peaceful life is shattered and he gets thrust into the cruel reality of this world, a world wracked with prejudice and conflict. And it soon becomes apparent to him, that any peace he had hoped to find in this world, he would have to fight for... 

What lies in wait for him in this new world? Will he find peace in this world, or is he destined for something darker? What's the secret behind the power of his Black Blood? There's only one way to find out...

Black Blood - The Alter World

"Man, I'm stuffed! That was so good!" Grinned Xandra with a content look on her face, as we drove back to the mansion.

"Yeah, that was delicious...and not too pricey either, totally worth it," I replied wryly.

"I know, right? This was so much fun...let's go out again sometime," She responded with a smile.

"I'm definitely not against that," I remarked, as the gates leading into the mansion came into sight up ahead.

"Glad to hear it," She replied, as she drove towards the garage and headed in, parking the car before switching it off.

We got out of the vehicle and headed back into the mansion after she locked the car doors and and closed the garage.

As we entered the building, I spotted Theo peering out from above the staircase, before zipping away before Xandra could see him...well, looks like the awkwardness between us won't be fading anytime soon. I really hope he gets over it soon...but realistically speaking, I doubt that'll happen.
