Following a miserable, wretched life and a tragic, untimely death, the protagonist finds himself reincarnated as a baby in a different world to the one he was in before. In this world, there are people with special powers, known as Alters.

However, Alters are a minority in this world, and are discriminated against severely. Initially believe that he doesn't possess any powers, the protagonist soon realizes that he has inherited an ancient power, a power that only one other being has previously possessed in this world.

Black Blood, the power that had originated in the Progenitor of Alters, the very first human to develop powers in this world, and from whom all existing Alters are descended from. 

Determined to avoid going through the strife and hardship of his previous life, the protagonist decides to keep his powers hidden and strive to live a peaceful life in this new world. 

But it doesn't last long, his peaceful life is shattered and he gets thrust into the cruel reality of this world, a world wracked with prejudice and conflict. And it soon becomes apparent to him, that any peace he had hoped to find in this world, he would have to fight for... 

What lies in wait for him in this new world? Will he find peace in this world, or is he destined for something darker? What's the secret behind the power of his Black Blood? There's only one way to find out...

As a barrage of laser beams came shooting down from atop the staircase, Parmila swiftly put up a barrier wall as I raced up the stairs, narrowly evading the beams as I drew out my taser blade and leapt forward as I reached the top, striking one of the kidnappers across the side of the neck and zapping him out cold.

I then quickly ducked as a knife came spinning towards my head from the left, before springing that way and driving my taser blade straight at the chest of the man who'd flung it at me, slamming onto the middle of his chest and tasing him, breaking a couple of his ribs upon impact.

As a couple more of the kidnappers sprang up behind me, a powerful burst of flames came shooting up the stairs, forcing them to back away before Xandra came leaping through the flames.
