Following a miserable, wretched life and a tragic, untimely death, the protagonist finds himself reincarnated as a baby in a different world to the one he was in before. In this world, there are people with special powers, known as Alters.

However, Alters are a minority in this world, and are discriminated against severely. Initially believe that he doesn't possess any powers, the protagonist soon realizes that he has inherited an ancient power, a power that only one other being has previously possessed in this world.

Black Blood, the power that had originated in the Progenitor of Alters, the very first human to develop powers in this world, and from whom all existing Alters are descended from. 

Determined to avoid going through the strife and hardship of his previous life, the protagonist decides to keep his powers hidden and strive to live a peaceful life in this new world. 

But it doesn't last long, his peaceful life is shattered and he gets thrust into the cruel reality of this world, a world wracked with prejudice and conflict. And it soon becomes apparent to him, that any peace he had hoped to find in this world, he would have to fight for...

"Hm...I don't think he's being controlled in this...but I can't be totally sure of that either, it's hard to say for certain," I muttered to myself, rewinding the video with a frown.

A couple of days have passed, it's the 13th of July, 2020, and I was currently working on my investigation in searching for the Puppeteer.

Most of their victims were regular, everyday people, so finding footage of them online is next to impossible. I've gone through their social media accounts and stuff, but couldn't find anything useful.

Right now, I'm going through footage of the man who was under the Puppeteer's control when I raided that kidnapping ring in the forest with Unity...he was a politician, so naturally, there's plenty of footage of him to be found.

I got a second hand laptop from a pawn shop about a year ago, it's complete dogshit and crashes constantly, but it's all I could afford.
