Following a miserable, wretched life and a tragic, untimely death, the protagonist finds himself reincarnated as a baby in a different world to the one he was in before. In this world, there are people with special powers, known as Alters.

However, Alters are a minority in this world, and are discriminated against severely. Initially believe that he doesn't possess any powers, the protagonist soon realizes that he has inherited an ancient power, a power that only one other being has previously possessed in this world.

Black Blood, the power that had originated in the Progenitor of Alters, the very first human to develop powers in this world, and from whom all existing Alters are descended from. 

Determined to avoid going through the strife and hardship of his previous life, the protagonist decides to keep his powers hidden and strive to live a peaceful life in this new world. 

But it doesn't last long, his peaceful life is shattered and he gets thrust into the cruel reality of this world, a world wracked with prejudice and conflict. And it soon becomes apparent to him, that any peace he had hoped to find in this world, he would have to fight for... 

What lies in wait for him in this new world? Will he find peace in this world, or is he destined for something darker? What's the secret behind the power of his Black Blood? There's only one way to find out...

"Sure you want me to drop you off here?" Inquired the driver in bemusement, as he pulled into an alley.

"Yup, this'll do," I nodded in response.

"Okay, then, if you say so. Let's see, your total comes to-...," He began, before I cut him off with a swift chop to the back of the neck, knocking him out.

"Really sorry about this...but I'm totally broke right now, so I can't pay you," I apologized sheepishly, as I hopped out of the taxi and walked away.

Yeah, I feel bad about that...but the fare was greater than my present account balance, no way I could afford it. This is why I've only been operating in Staex for the past three years, the capital city of Gelanes is too far to walk and too expensive to take a cab.

Today's the 15th of July, 2020, the following day. I'm here in the capital, and raring to go...really hope that it really is The Natural Order whose trail I'm on, otherwise this'll be a complete waste of time.
