Following a miserable, wretched life and a tragic, untimely death, the protagonist finds himself reincarnated as a baby in a different world to the one he was in before. In this world, there are people with special powers, known as Alters.

However, Alters are a minority in this world, and are discriminated against severely. Initially believe that he doesn't possess any powers, the protagonist soon realizes that he has inherited an ancient power, a power that only one other being has previously possessed in this world.

Black Blood, the power that had originated in the Progenitor of Alters, the very first human to develop powers in this world, and from whom all existing Alters are descended from. 

Determined to avoid going through the strife and hardship of his previous life, the protagonist decides to keep his powers hidden and strive to live a peaceful life in this new world. 

But it doesn't last long, his peaceful life is shattered and he gets thrust into the cruel reality of this world, a world wracked with prejudice and conflict. And it soon becomes apparent to him, that any peace he had hoped to find in this world, he would have to fight for...

"Cool, thanks. Yeah, sure, you can sell the info to others, that's fine with me...so long as I get a decent cut of the profit," I replied into my phone.

"I was hoping you wouldn't say that...but since you are the one who obtained this information, I suppose that's fair. This is very valuable intel, Liberty would be willing to pay a pretty high price for it, especially since you beat them to the punch with your last attack. The police discovered the hideout in the mall and it's been reported to the public as well, so Liberty has probably realized by now that you're responsible for that," Responded Finn wryly.

"Doesn't matter, I doubt they'd be so petty as to give me trouble just because of that. Well, anyway, I gotta go, let me know if you come across any new intel," I remarked, as I lit up a joint and took a puff.
