Following a miserable, wretched life and a tragic, untimely death, the protagonist finds himself reincarnated as a baby in a different world to the one he was in before. In this world, there are people with special powers, known as Alters.

However, Alters are a minority in this world, and are discriminated against severely. Initially believe that he doesn't possess any powers, the protagonist soon realizes that he has inherited an ancient power, a power that only one other being has previously possessed in this world.

Black Blood, the power that had originated in the Progenitor of Alters, the very first human to develop powers in this world, and from whom all existing Alters are descended from. 

Determined to avoid going through the strife and hardship of his previous life, the protagonist decides to keep his powers hidden and strive to live a peaceful life in this new world. 

But it doesn't last long, his peaceful life is shattered and he gets thrust into the cruel reality of this world, a world wracked with prejudice and conflict. And it soon becomes apparent to him, that any peace he had hoped to find in this world, he would have to fight for... 

What lies in wait for him in this new world? Will he find peace in this world, or is he destined for something darker? What's the secret behind the power of his Black Blood? There's only one way to find out...

<p>"I'll get straight to the point, Ariodred, Rende. As you both know, about a week ago, I interrogated the man that Frou and Ariodred captured in Harford Academy, which turned out to be quite fruitful. Most crucially, we now know about all of TNO's major hideouts, we have a chance to deal them a crippling blow. I then had Rende go investigate each of the locations while tranformed to hide her identity, and she confirmed suspicious activity at each of those locations. </p>

<p>And tonight, we strike all eight of those locations simultaneously, we'll exterminate these maggots. The two of you will pair up and target one of the eight, specifically, the basement of a local factory that manufactures cheap chocolate bars. TNO also has more Alters under their control like the ones they used to attack Harford Academy, so keep your guards up. </p>
