Following a miserable, wretched life and a tragic, untimely death, the protagonist finds himself reincarnated as a baby in a different world to the one he was in before. In this world, there are people with special powers, known as Alters.

However, Alters are a minority in this world, and are discriminated against severely. Initially believe that he doesn't possess any powers, the protagonist soon realizes that he has inherited an ancient power, a power that only one other being has previously possessed in this world.

Black Blood, the power that had originated in the Progenitor of Alters, the very first human to develop powers in this world, and from whom all existing Alters are descended from. 

Determined to avoid going through the strife and hardship of his previous life, the protagonist decides to keep his powers hidden and strive to live a peaceful life in this new world. 

But it doesn't last long, his peaceful life is shattered and he gets thrust into the cruel reality of this world, a world wracked with prejudice and conflict. And it soon becomes apparent to him, that any peace he had hoped to find in this world, he would have to fight for... 

What lies in wait for him in this new world? Will he find peace in this world, or is he destined for something darker? What's the secret behind the power of his Black Blood? There's only one way to find out...

"Hey, give me a bit more of the blanket, you're kinda hogging it. It's cold in here."

"Well, this is my bed, and I like it cold. Just go back to your room if it's too cold for ya," I responded dryly, as I scrolled through my phone.

"In a bit...I've gotten comfy and don't want to get up right now. And besides, I'm planning on spending most of the day in here, so quit your complaining," Replied Rende with a shrug.

Today's the 31st of January, 2021, a couple of days have passed. It was currently 10 AM in the morning, I'd been woken up about an hour and a half ago by a pleasant sensation, before finding Rende under the covers, between my legs.

We got done about ten minutes ago, and we've both kinda just been scrolling on our phones in silence. She's not particularly fond of small talk, or talking in general, really. Weirdly enough, the silence is kinda comforting.
