Following a miserable, wretched life and a tragic, untimely death, the protagonist finds himself reincarnated as a baby in a different world to the one he was in before. In this world, there are people with special powers, known as Alters.

But it doesn't last long, his peaceful life is shattered and he gets thrust into the cruel reality of this world, a world wracked with prejudice and conflict. And it soon becomes apparent to him, that any peace he had hoped to find in this world, he would have to fight for...

"You sure I shouldn't be doing something? I'm kinda worried about the others, some of them had been in prison for years, so they're not exactly in peak physical condition. Not sure this is the best time to take a day off," I remarked with a concerned frown.

"Don't worry, Saif is pretty good at keeping people, well...safe. Goddamn I hate that word now, and it's a hundred percent his fault," Sighed Sarasi in exasperation.

"And besides, you've been going out there and fighting almost nonstop for the last several days, you could definitely use a day off or two, at least," Added Je-Two objectively.

Hm...yeah, maybe he's got a point, I have been feeling a bit worn out lately. It's likely that things will get more intense sooner or later, it could be a problem if I'm overly fatigued during a crunch moment.
