Following a miserable, wretched life and a tragic, untimely death, the protagonist finds himself reincarnated as a baby in a different world to the one he was in before. In this world, there are people with special powers, known as Alters.

Determined to avoid going through the strife and hardship of his previous life, the protagonist decides to keep his powers hidden and strive to live a peaceful life in this new world. 

But it doesn't last long, his peaceful life is shattered and he gets thrust into the cruel reality of this world, a world wracked with prejudice and conflict. And it soon becomes apparent to him, that any peace he had hoped to find in this world, he would have to fight for...

"Okay, I've disabled the alarm system, we should be able to break in without a problem," I remarked quietly.

"Nice, your power is pretty dope, man, I'm kinda jealous of how versatile it is. So, shall we head in?" Responded Karagan eagerly.

Today's the 28th of March, 2021, around midnight. I was currently outside the house of an important government official, along with Karagan, who had practically insisted on coming along.

There was a total of six armed guards around the house, with tall walls surrounding the building and a powerful electric fence wrapped around the outside of the walls.

Saif had gotten the blueprints and layout of the house through his contacts in the government, and using that info, I used my blood to form tendrils, which I snaked in through the top of the walls, through a small gap in the electric fence, and deactivated the fence and the house's security system.
