Following a miserable, wretched life and a tragic, untimely death, the protagonist finds himself reincarnated as a baby in a different world to the one he was in before. In this world, there are people with special powers, known as Alters.

Determined to avoid going through the strife and hardship of his previous life, the protagonist decides to keep his powers hidden and strive to live a peaceful life in this new world. 

But it doesn't last long, his peaceful life is shattered and he gets thrust into the cruel reality of this world, a world wracked with prejudice and conflict. And it soon becomes apparent to him, that any peace he had hoped to find in this world, he would have to fight for...

"Hey, there, everyone! It's been a while!"

I stiffened for a moment, immense rage welling up inside me before I rapidly jerked my head across in the direction that the despicable voice had come from, firing out a Blood Ray from my forehead.

I grimaced as she swiftly grabbed the arm of the teleportee and pulled her in front of herself, the teleporter's eyes widening in alarm...

"W-wait, you bitc-...!" She yelled in a panic, before the beam collided onto the middle of her chest and drilled into her body, killing her instantly.

"Wow, you sure have gotten powerful, Ario...it's good to see you ag-...," Began the Puppeteer with a smirk, before abruptly trailing off as I spread out my wings and flew towards her at top speed, forming a sword with my blood in my right hand, tightening my grip around it as I closed in on her and slashed at her neck.
