Ryan was impressed, they had just arrived at Taylor's house, the place was huge and from her own words it was a 8 bedroom, 9 bathroom mansion, with a indoor and outdoor pool along with a work out room and her studio which took up the whole basement. As they walked inside he could see the awed look on Leah's face, she comes from the most modest background so it was clear that she would be the most impressed with the place.
Jade was her usual self, which even if he didn't know fashion like most women he still understood that the brands she were wearing cost no less then the ones that Taylor wore, so clearly her family had money.
"So this is my house," Taylor said with a wide smile, Ryan scoffed at her for calling it a 'house' which she ignored, "I will have someone bring us some snacks later, for now we can head down to the studio."
They all followed her as she led them to the stairs, they took the ones leading downstairs stopping at the opened door, inside was a whole set up to record along with a couch that lined the back wall. There was no one there to help press the buttons or anything though, "So do you have a technician for all of this?" Ryan asked being the first to walk in.
She shook her head, "No, I learned to do this all myself a long time ago. I have been in the industry for seven years now, I should know how to do this myself."
He hummed as Jade swaggered in hips swaying, she threw her bag on the couch along with her body then rested her boot clad feet on the table in the middle of the room, "So, what are you singing first?"
Taylor beamed, "Well actually I was hoping that Leah would sing with me first, the song I have to record are all for the new album, so why not have some fun first."
Leah bounced in once spot in excitement causing him to look at her fondly, "That sounds great, so what song did you have in mind?"
"Hmm, you choose, I am okay with anything." Taylor deferred to Leah who nodded with a thoughtful expression.
"How about...ugh this is so hard. Ryan!" She shouted excitedly as she turned to him, "You go first, I have always imagined you singing a song with her so go first."
Ryan knew he couldn't say no with the look she was giving him, luckily he expected this and already had something in mind "Fine, I have a song. We can record it first then Taylor and I can try the lyrics."
After agreeing Taylor walked Ryan through how to record a song, and with his programing ability it turned into a skill that would stick with him, not that he would need it much later on. The process was slow as Taylor kept trying to tweak things, and with Leah telling him to let her it made it that way, not that he gave in this time since it was a song he chose.
Finally they agreed that Ryan would play it how he wanted with Taylor adding in her part, not that he thought her part could enhance it, but she was a great musician so maybe she could. He didn't put much thought into it as he entered the booth and began the melody, like most times he let the music take him away enjoying it.
A small smile was on his face as he was finishing it, the last note rang out and he heard applause, looking out he saw that even Jade was impressed, even if it wasn't much. Coughing he walked out and smiled, "So, are you ready to lay it down?".
Taylor nodded, "Yeah, and from your lyrics I already have my own, look."
She handed him the paper they had been using and on it were his original lyrics but also hers added in, looking at it well it was sloppy with how it looked at the moment, so they took some time to rewrite it out before getting it down. Taylor showed Leah and Jade what to press while they stepped back into the booth while putting on their headphones.
(The Joker and The Queen: by Ed Sheeran ft Taylor Swift)
"(Ryan)
How was I to know?
It's a crazy thing
I showed you my hand
And you still let me win
And who was I to say
That this was meant to be?
The road that was broken
Brought us together
And I know you could fall for a thousand kings
And hearts that would give you a diamond ring
When I fold, you see the best in me
The joker and the queen
(Taylor)
I've been played before
If you hadn't guessed
So I kept my cards close
To my foolproof vest
But you called my bluff
And saw through all my tells
And then you went all in
And we left together
And I know that you think what makes a king
Is gold, a palace and diamond rings
When I fold, you see the best in me
The joker and the queen
(Both)
And I know you could fall for a thousand kings
And hearts that would give you a diamond ring
When I folded, you saw the best in me
The joker and the queen
The joker and the queen"
As they finished they looked at one another, Taylor was smiling widely as she looked at him, he nodded and took the headphones off since the music had stopped. Stepping out the booth he was met with and excited Leah who was looking at them with stars in her eyes, "You guys were perfect!" She said happily.
Jade rolled her eyes, "You were okay."
Ryan hasn't known her long but he was sure in Jade speak that they had done well, "Thanks for the praise Jade, that was nice."
Her cheeks dusted pink but she shrugged it off, "Yeah whatever, I want to sing a song I made the other day."
Without anyone saying anything she went in to record all the instrumental parts, Ryan chuckled as he took Leah by the hips and pulled her into his lap while taking a seat Taylor close behind them. While waiting for Jade to finish Taylor had called someone to bring them snacks, Ryan was feeding Leah while ignoring Taylor's looks.
Although this spring break wasn't turning out how he thought it would he was enjoying it, well these parts, he really didn't want to go back to school, that was just not for him. It was already bad enough that he needed to go to school in Forks, no need to push himself to keep going to school while on break.
Jade finished in record time it was clear she had been thinking about this song for awhile, the weird thing was that he knew the melody that she had been playing. He was sure that the artist wasn't even a celebrity yet in this world, which made him look at her in surprise, but he also needed to wait to hear the lyrics first.
Finally she walked out and nodded to them all, Ryan wanted to control the session as he was slightly excited hearing the melody, he just hoped the lyrics were the same too, especially the second part. Nodding to her inside he hit the playback button and watched her go to work.
(Happier Than Ever: By Billie Eilish)
"When I'm away from you, I'm happier than ever
Wish I could explain it better
I wish it wasn't true
Give me a day or two to think of something clever
To write myself a letter
To tell me what to do, mm-mmm
Do you read my interviews?
Or do you skip my avenue?
When you said you were passing through
Was I even on your way?
I knew when I asked you to
Be cool about what I was telling you
You'd do the opposite of what you said you'd do (what you said you'd do)
And I'd end up more afraid
Don't say it isn't fair
You clearly weren't aware that you made me miserable
So if you really wanna know
When I'm away from you
I'm happier than ever
Wish I could explain it better
I wish it wasn't true, mmm-mmm
You call me again, drunk in your Benz
Driving home under the influence
You scared me to death, but I'm wasting my breath
'Cause you only listen to your fucking friends
I don't relate to you
I don't relate to you, no
'Cause I'd never treat me this shitty
You made me hate this city
And I don't talk shit about you on the internet
Never told anyone anything bad
'Cause that shit's embarrassing, you were my everything
And all that you did was make me fucking sad
So don't waste the time I don't have
And don't try to make me feel bad
I could talk about every time that you showed up on time
But I'd have an empty line 'cause you never did
Never paid any mind to my mother or friends
So I shut 'em all out for you 'cause I was a kid
You ruined everything good
Always said you were misunderstood
Made all my moments your own
Just fucking leave me alone!"
Everyone could see the raw emotion on her face as she sung that, and from the gossip that Ryan got from his day at the school from Trina he knew she had broken up with Beck. Who seemed like a nice guy in his opinion, but then again hearing these lyrics he wasn't so sure, because there was a lot of things in there.
He wouldn't touch that with a ten foot pole though, she was obviously getting that off her chest so he was going to just go with it, there was nothing else to say. Even Taylor and Leah knew not to say anything as she stepped out the booth, they all acted as if they didn't see the lone tear that ran down her cheek as she sat down with her arms crossed over her chest.
Taylor and Leah moved to work on the next song whole Ryan sighed, he stood and went next to Jade looking down at her he let out a breath before sitting down next to her. She glared hard at him her eyes might have held fire but he could see the vulnerability behind them, she was holding it all in and looked like she was about to burst.
He held his arms open for a hug which she of course refused, rolling his eyes he lifted her and set her in his lap wrapping his arms around her not giving her a choice, of course she struggled at first then slowly leaned her head on his chest. Her body shook as he felt her tears leak on to his chest but he said nothing holding her allowing her to release it.
Ryan looked up to see Leah smiling at him soft, he gave her a helpless look even as he held her tighter. Leah looked between the two before nodding and going back to what she was doing, she had nothing to say, they might have broken up with their ex's in different ways but she saw the pain that Jade was holding on to.
Leah knew Ryan's hugs were a good cure for it, they had helped her when she was having her own problems.
Taylor watched them with a look in her eyes, she had watched Leah's reaction which caused a smile to stretch across her face, but she turned before anyone could see the look. Not that Ryan missed if, he just ignored it and hoped that Taylor wasn't planning anything, because he did not need that headache.
Who was he kidding, of course she was.
Ryan watched as Leah and Taylor entered the booth and played something, Leah didn't sing but instead was the lead guitar as they went into a song Ryan had never heard before. He was enjoying it though as she held Jade who was calming down from her break down, she didn't move away from him though not even as her phone rang.
It was annoying him though so he grabbed it to answer, "Jades phone." He answered still watching his girlfriend.
"Ummm, I'm looking for Jade?" Tori asked as a question which he could tell because a strange voice answered the phone.
"Oh....Jade do you want to talk to Tori?" Ryan asked looking down at her, she shook her head, "She doesn't want to talk right now."
"Okay? Well umm who is this?" Tori asked hesitant.
"Ryan, look I don't feel like talking either I only answered because the ringing was ignoring me. Goodbye." He hung up without even waiting for her reply, plus Tori's voice annoyed him so.
"Her voice is annoying isn't it?" Jade asked lifting her head, and despite crying earlier she only had slightly puffy eyes, she was still beautiful.
Ryan chuckled nodding his head, "Yeah, if it was Cat I would have talked longer, but Tori has a really whiny voice."
"Smart man." Jade replied nodding her head.
"So, what's next?" Taylor asked as her and Leah walked out the booth Leah looking awed at what she just did.
"I'm fine with anything to be honest we could--" his head snapped to the entrance as even if it was distant he could hear the sound of screams and a little gun fire.
"What's wrong Ryan?" Leah asked being the only one who knew that he could hear beyond them all.
Taylor and Jade were confused as Ryan lifted Jade putting her on her feet, "Get into the booth now!" He said sternly and they all followed his command as they rushed to it hearing the seriousness in his voice.
Ryan could hear multiple feet rushing to them, he knew they weren't normal people either as he could smell the blood in the air, all of Taylor's security was dead and someone was coming to them. While he would rather not have Taylor and Jade see what happen next it was to late, he could hear the feet pounding on the stairs as they reached the door.
"TAYLOR! I'M YOUR BIGGEST FAN!!" A woman screeched with blood around her mouth eyes crazed, they were also deep red.
Behind her was another vampire who while claimer was staring into the booth sinisterly, he didn't even look at Ryan as he locked his lips, "You can kidnap Taylor and keep her, but I want the other two inside."
Ryan chuckled as his eyes started to glow slightly his anger reaching its peak, they were talking about taking Leah right in front of him, which is something only a real dead person would do. His chuckles caused them to look over and finally pay attention to Ryan, the males eyes widening slightly as he saw Ryan's eyes, "Oh, now you see me?"

(Inside the Booth)
"What the hell?!" Jade said she was scared but also fascinated as she looked at what was happening outside.
"What is going on!" Taylor was less calm not ever haven run into something like was happening.
Leah was way more calm, she knew it would take an army to get to her, and not a regular army they would be mowed down in seconds, no it would take an army of vampires to get to her if they tried going past Ryan, "I guess since he is busy I should explain."
They nodded but didn't take their eyes off Ryan as he jumped and suddenly a silver wolf was in his place, they watched as the female sneered and charged obviously determined to get to Taylor. Meanwhile the male with her stood by with a calculating look as he watched what was about to unfold.
Their jaws dropped since the speaker was still on they heard the crunch as wolf Ryan ripped the woman's arm off making her scream out, but with the crazed look in her eye it was clear she wouldn't give up. It was with a sick fascination that they watched her right leg taken from her as she tried to kick him in the face.
"There is a hidden part of the world, I guess you would say, Ryan and I are apart of that world, with Ryan as you can clearly see is a werewolf." Leah began as they continued to watch him tear apart the woman who was reaching out for Taylor to help her.
Jade was the first to speak out, "They're vampires aren't they? Not the ones that I have ever seen in movies, but they aren't they?"
Leah nodded even if Jade didn't look away from the ending fight as Ryan ripped the head off the woman, the man finally had the smarts to flee which only made Ryan growl as he gave chase after him. This promoted Taylor and Jade to look over to Leah who was lightly strumming a guitar while watching.
"Yeah, these aren't like the ones from movies, but I have a hunch they like it that way. Maybe because it doesn't give them away." Leah said thoughtfully.
"How is Ryan a werewolf was he bit?" Taylor asked seconds ahead of Jade.
"Nope." Leah answered popping the 'p', "According to him you are born that way or not, if one was to bite you then you would most likely die, you saw how huge Ryan was. Do you honestly believe he wouldn't eat half of you in a bite?"
The nodded their head, "So becoming a vampire is possible though?" Jade asked excitement in her eyes and voice as she asked.
"Yes, but there are problems with becoming one, I mean it is super easy but there is a like a whole kings thing ruling over them all." Leah said then went into it all for them as they waited on Ryan to return.

(With Ryan)
Ryan chased the man which wasn't that hard with his sense of smell along with the fact that he was shinning in the daylight, sure the sun was setting but there was still more then enough light for him to be shinning like a disco ball. Eventually he caught the man taking a bite of his leg, unlike in the house he used draining bite, as a wolf he enjoyed watching the blood fly everywhere.
After having his fun and using the man as a rag doll he snapped the neck, with him no longer having his vampire power he died automatically, burying him where he was Ryan took off not concerned about it anymore. When he made it back over Taylor's fence he shifted, he shook his head as he saw all the dead bodies that were around them, he was wondering how this would be explained.
Moving into the house he saw eight people dead with their guns nearby, walking back down stairs he saw Jade and Taylor poking at the woman, Jade was feeling the venom that was dripping out of her, "So if this got in my system I would turn?" She asked not noticing him back.
"I wouldn't recommend it." Ryan said announcing himself.
"Why not?" Jade asked with a frown while also glaring at him, it was clear she wanted to be a vampire even if it was a disco ball kind.
"You still look like a high school teen, so if you were changed now you would always look like a high school teen. Meaning you would most likely have to keep repeating it for all eternity, unless you went the nomad life never settling down." Ryan said casually as he started to collect the body parts.
Jade opened her mouth but sighed nodding, "Fine, but I want you to find someone to change me when I am ready. There is no way that I am not going to become one so I can fuck with people forever."
He chuckled, "Sure thing."
"How does it all look upstairs?" Taylor asked worrying her lip.
He sighed, "I'm not going to lie, you are going to need to call the cops. I don't know what you will tell them since there are no intruders to hand over, but all your security is dead."
Taylor sighed nodding, "Yeah, I figured something like that would happen."
From there she called the cops and for the next hour they had to talk to the police about what happened, they also weren't allowed to leave the state until Sunday mainly because they thought the people would hunt them down. Ryan's mom was called and she was frantic after hearing what happened, she promised to take a flight the next day to be there with them.
He tried to persuade her not to but when she learned that Sue and Harry couldn't be there for them she wouldn't take no for an answer, so he could only wait for her to show up.
Jades parents didn't seem to really care, they asked her to get a ride with Ryan since she skipped school then hung up, Jade didn't see it as a surprise either so he didn't say anything about it. Taylor was taken by her assistant so the night ended much to Leah's chagrin, but Leah did faint again when Taylor gave her personal number promising to meet her later.
Ryan sighed as he carried a fainted Leah to the car, that night they also had an extra bed mate as Jade was 'afraid' and refused to go home when he could protect her just fine. Which were her words and not his own, Leah didn't seem to care either way when she woke to see them all cuddling, she just went back to sleep.
