The Allure of Darkness (II)

Seraphina's hand reached out to part the curtains, and she was immediately greeted with a cool breeze. She stepped out into the hidden balcony and found herself admiring the view.

The balcony was moderate in size with a small couch sitting in one corner. Surprisingly, the couch wasn't covered in black like the rest of the room. But what really caught her attention was the view of the greenery covered mountains that greeted her eyes. While the sky was still covered with dark clouds, they reminded her more of rainy clouds instead of the contaminated sky that she was seeing in the Shadow City.

Because of the dark clouds, the view she was witnessing also carried a darkness in it. Still, it was unlike the gloomy view of the Shadow City. She stood there for a while, appreciating the view and the fresh air. She couldn't help but wonder how the men were able to create these magical views, even though she already knew the answer.
