The Castle's Curse

The seventeenth street of Shadow City was filled with a lot of buzz as everyone gathered around the newly set-up cages to watch the chickens and ducks playing around in their coops with their families.

"Mommy, look at that little duckling. It's looking so cute."

"Dad, is the hen going to lay an egg now?"

"Will we get to eat eggs? We only receives eggs and meat once a week from the council. But I want to eat more eggs."

The kids were the most vocal about their thoughts as they were filled with even more excitement this afternoon when they got to see the real chickens and ducks.

"I haven't seen these people being so happy for ages. It's so good to have you here, Sera." Alora said as she handed Seraphina a glass of water. They had been working since morning and after five long hours of work, they had finally finished the task of setting up the poultry farm.
