Suffering

After Edward arrived home, he was in complete shock and felt miserable. He was breaking everything in his room without realizing that his hand was bleeding. He continued hitting his hand on the broken vases until his housekeeper saw him and called his parents.

Edward's mother called him to ask why he was hurting himself, and he revealed that he was in love with a girl who had been kidnapped by the same person who had raped her six years ago. His mother responded by telling him that Alayna was not worth his love and that he should not waste his life on someone like her. Edward decided to leave the country and go to the states because he felt suffocated being there.

Alayna regained consciousness and found Lewis sitting next to her, running his fingers through her hair. She attempted to move away, but she realized that she was bound to the bed with ropes. Alayna demanded Lewis to release her and move away from her. Lewis questioned

Alayna about her behavior towards him and why she could not reciprocate his feelings of love towards her. Alayna was terrified, as Lewis was the only person she feared, and she had nightmares about him every day. Despite her fear, Alayna gathered her courage and expressed her feelings towards him, telling him that she despised him and would never forgive him for what he had done to her.

He became angry and threw the glass that was on the side table, shattering it into pieces on the floor. He stormed outside to control his temper while Alayna struggled to free herself. She was terrified and screamed for help, but no one seemed to hear her. When Lewis returned, he brought food and untied Alayna, asking her to come and eat with him. He went to the kitchen to get some plates, and in the meantime, Alayna tried to escape. However, it was futile as the apartment had only one door, which was locked, and the keys were with Lewis. She screamed and called for help, but Lewis told her that there was no use, as no one would hear her in the deserted apartment.

He asked her to come and eat, but she refused to listen to him. So, he grabbed her by the hand and forcefully took her to the table and asked her to sit. She refused to eat with him, and he tied her hands and put her on the chair. However, she was still trying to escape, so he also tied her legs and told her that she could not escape and that she had to live with him for the rest of her life. He believed that the people she was thinking of would forget her, and in a few days, they would think that she was killed. Alayna didn't listen to him and told him that she would rather die than live with him. He opened the box and tried to feed her, but she spat in his face. He threw the plate on the floor and went to the washroom to take a shower to control his anger. Meanwhile, Alayna tried to loosen the ropes, but she fell on the broken plate on the floor.

When Lewis heard the loud thud, he rushed out and saw Alayna on the floor bleeding from her head. He untied her and used his shirt to stop the bleeding, Alayna was trying to get away from him. He tried to calm her down, put a bandage on her head, and told her to rest, but he locked the door and slept on the couch in the TV lounge. Alayna was constantly banging on the door and screaming, which made him feel uncomfortable. He opened the door and saw Alayna, who was hiding behind the door, and attacked him with a piece of glass in her hand. He tried to avoid it, and in the struggle, they fell on the glass pieces that were scattered on the floor. Both of them got hurt, and the glass pieces pierced through Alayna's skin on her arms and legs, leaving her unable to move due to the pain.

Lewis was also injured on his back from the broken glass. He retrieved a first aid kit from the kitchen and attempted to remove the glass pieces from Alayna's body. However, she stepped back, so he took hold of her arms and removed the glass pieces from her arms and legs. He bandaged her wounds and advised her to rest, placing her on the bed. Alayna noticed the glass pieces in Lewis's back and wanted to help him, but she remembered his past behavior.

Lewis went into the bathroom to tend to his own injuries, and while he was there, he heard someone attempting to open the door. Concerned that neither he nor Alayna would be able to rest, he administered an anesthetic to Alayna so that he could sleep peacefully. He then locked her in the room.
