Escape

The next morning, Lewis prepared breakfast for Alayna and opened the door to her room, but he locked the door to the apartment. When she woke up, Alayna did not eat anything and instead searched for a tool to break the lock. Meanwhile, Lewis asked one of his juniors to remove the glass pieces from his back and requested that he not tell anyone about it. He said he found it embarrassing to explain that he had broken a glass in his room and then slipped on it, resulting in his injury.

Edward had booked his ticket and was all set to go to the States when he began to feel like he had done everything for Alayna, but she didn't seem to care for him at all. He believed that she had hidden her past from him, and this thought bothered him. As he was about to board his flight, he suddenly realized that Alayna had never lied to him, and that the only thing she did was keep her past a secret. He understood that she had never intended to use his feelings for her benefit, and it was actually him who had pursued her.

Feeling conflicted, Edward decided to take a cab back to his home. During his journey, he received shocking news from Alayna's brother. The police had discovered a car in the river near the place where she was last seen, and they believed that there was no chance of her surviving in the water for so long.

Edward couldn't believe what he was hearing and insisted to Max that it couldn't be true, and that they would find her. He started to search for her in nearby areas where her car was found, hoping to find some clue as to where she could be.

When Lewis received the news about Alayna, he felt as though his plan had worked and that he would now be happy for the rest of his life. Upon his return, he brought food for Alayna and cleaned the floor to prevent any future injuries. He then informed Alayna that her family and the police believed she was dead. Although he asked her to come out of her room, Alayna did not listen, so he opened the door to find her sitting on the bed amidst broken glass. He cleaned up the pieces and asked her why she didn't like him like a normal person. Alayna responded by saying that she had no feelings for him and that it would be better for him to leave, or else she would kill him.

Lewis admitted that he had done wrong that night and that he couldn't ask for forgiveness because he couldn't even forgive himself. He became jealous because she only cared about Mars and never gave him any importance. Even now, she only cared about Edward and didn't care about his feelings. Alayna told him that she didn't want to listen to him and questioned how he could ask for forgiveness when he had destroyed her life. She had been suffering every night by reliving that moment. She asked him to leave her room so that she could rest.

Upon hearing her reply, Lewis became angry, he went outside to cool down and not show his annoyance. Alayna was feeling very hungry but did not want to eat. Later that night, when Lewis opened the door, Alayna was standing behind it and hit him on the head with a frying pan, causing him to fall down.

She had the opportunity to escape, so she hurriedly ran down the stairs while constantly looking back to see if he was following her. She continued running down the streets while he searched for her and repeatedly claimed that he would capture her and that she couldn't escape from him. She was terrified of him, and he was carrying a flashlight.

She spotted a nearby road, but there was no one around to help her. As she continued to run, she began to feel the cold, and she was freezing despite only wearing a shirt and jeans. She kept changing her position to avoid being found by him.

He assured her that he wouldn't harm her and that she should come out of hiding as it was cold outside, and she might die if she didn't.
