Is it normal to fancy a boy?

Storm's POV

His scent seemed to be locked permanently in my mind.

Unlike other Omegas' pheromones, his drove me crazy. I know I wouldn't have been able to resist it had that stupid Beta not made an appearance.

Just thinking of the Beta that disturbed us, made me eager to rip his head off his neck.

Yet, I know his presence saved me back then. Else, I might have done something that I will probably regret.

There was a high possibility that I would have marked him. And that right there will be disastrous.

Unlike Alphas, who can be with hundreds of people at the same time, an Omega is bound to the Alpha who marked him.

Though the thought of having him as mine excited me, I know he has the right to choose who will mark him.

Yet, I found myself yearning to do just that. I yearn to sink my teeth into his neck and make his mine.

I will treat—

"You seem absent-minded these days, Storm." Theo nudged me, startling me from my thoughts.

"How?" I tried not to stare at Strawberry, who was currently running around with that Omega friend of his.

The female he saved the other day was with them before she left with her friends.

And here I sat, watching him like a fool.

"You've been acting like a zombie ever since you returned from the Omega's hall before breakfast. What's wrong with you?" He sat next to me.

I sighed.

"What's wrong?" Theo raised a brow at me. "Is it about Mara?"

"No," I scowled.

"Then, what's wrong with you? Are you thinking about the forest survival test?" He raised a brow.

"No, I'm not."

"Then, what's wrong?" He raised a brow.

"Is it normal to have feelings for a boy the same way you do girls?" I turned to look at him.

"Goddess!" He covered his chest with his hands. "Are you talking about me? Do you have feelings for me?"

I rolled my eyes at the dramatic expression on his face. "Even if I'm crushing on another boy, it won't be you."

Though I don't know if I will call what I feel for Strawberry, a crush, I only know that I love seeing the fire in his eyes whenever he's challenging me. Even if I wish to tease him every chance I get, I still have this urge to take him into my arms and console him.

I get the urge to bully him, watch him cry, and then be the same one to wipe the tears off his face.

Quite fucked up?

I know.

"Guy, you seem to be this invested. Who's the boy? Anyone I know?" Theo crossed his legs.

I grunted but didn't say a word.

"You don't have to think deeply about that. Loving a boy isn't taboo. Hell, your late grandmother was a man."

"But he's a golden Omega. That's different." I glared at him.

"Different? How is it different? Had your grandfather wanted children, he would have gotten mated to a female Omega."

"So…." I trailed. "He loves men!"

"Of course, he does. It's normal. Most female Alphas love Female Omegas. It's just that you are always stuck in your head to notice anything happening around you."

Which is almost true.

Before I met this Omega, I was known as the bully of the school, not like I've bullied anyone, mind you.

I guess the rumour spread when I rejected an Omega a year ago. Not that I cared, I just allowed the rumour to take root, to make certain no one approached me.

It wasn't until I met Strawberry that the need to bully someone arose in me.

"So, who's the unlucky boy?" Theo's eyes sparkled.

"Unlucky? Isn't it supposed to be lucky?"

"Lucky? With someone like you? I doubt that." He folded his arms. "Any Omega that ends up with… Wait a minute, is it the male Omega with cute red hair?" He glanced towards the place Strawberry and his friend were. "The one with the phoenix-shaped purple eyes?"

I didn't say a word.

"Gotcha!" He hit me on the back. "Oh, my. Who would have thought I will see the day my friend will be so whipped for an Omega?" He chuckled.

"Fuck yourself!" I growled at myself.

He chuckled, not in any way phased by the murderous expression on my face. He looked amused.

"I can see why you like him. Not only is he cute, but he has this aura around him that makes him seem so mysterious."

I guess that was what drew me to him in the first place.

He always has this look of maturity in his eyes, that doesn't fit his frame. Most times, he seems like he's seeing through you with just a look.

My eyes immediately turned red when the Beta, who's always roaming around Strawberry, came to their side.

He gently ruffled Strawberry's hair before he gave him, something wrapped in a white foil.

Though I'm far from them, I can see his face lit up the moment he took the thing from the Beta.

A growl rumbled deep within my chest, and I got the urge to rip the Beta off, limb by limb, and claim the Omega.

The feeling was raw and unfamiliar.

I can feel the familiar ting I always have when I'm going through a change.

"Calm down, Storm."

Theo made to touch my shoulder, but I shot him a glare.

"Don't you dare touch me," I growled at him, for the first time.

He gulped.

"Your pheromone is heavy on the air. You need to tune it down, Storm."

Droplets of sweat formed on his face.

"You need to calm down, Storm. They might be just friends. Hell, you've not told him how you feel, but you are acting like a possessive boyfriend."

His words cooled my anger, but only by a degree.

I turned to look towards Strawberry, and that was when I noticed him returning to the building.

As we were out for the last day of training— tomorrow is the day we start the surviving test — all the students are out here with the teachers, who are currently resting under the large tree next to the only pond in the entire school.

"I will be right back." I rose from the floor and headed over to where Strawberry went into.

I made certain there was no one watching me before I went in.

Luckily, Strawberry had just turned a corner when I entered the building, else, I might have lost him.

I made certain to track him from the shadows, perfectly hiding myself to prevent him from knowing I followed him.

"Why are you following me?" He suddenly stopped.

My heart skipped a beat, but I didn't say a word.

Probably, he's only guessing.

I don't think he knows he's being followed.

"You don't have to hide. Your pheromone is heavy on the air." He turned, "Tell me, are you in your rutting season, Orange?"

At his question, I stepped out from where I was hiding.

"It seems you caught me, Strawberry." I grinned.

"Why are you following me? Haven't gotten enough of bullying me?" He folded his arms, with his eyes narrowed squarely at me, in obvious challenge.

"What made you think I'm following you?" I took a step towards him.

"Then what are you doing in here when others are still outside?" He pursed his lips.

"I can also ask you that."

He glared, while I feigned ignorance.

"Fine, if you need to follow me, then you can go ahead." He turned to leave.

"Don't flatter yourself, Strawberry." I grinned, "see you tomorrow." I winked at him before I turned and headed back the way I came.

"Bastard."

I heard him whisper, but I didn't turn.

It was fun messing with him. And I intend to do that during the test. After all, that was the reason I begged the teacher to let him join, even though they had an Omega in mind…
