Can we be friends?

I strode through the empty, silent corridors. I haven't been to this part of the school since I came here. It wasn't mentioned in the comic, and I never bothered about it when I came over.

It's not as if I can freely walk through the halls of the teachers' hostel in my free time.

My shoes squished on the tiles, creating enough noise to keep me sane in this silent place. I glanced around at the closed doors as I wondered, for the tenth time, why the principal asked me to come to his room instead of his office.

I know it's the weekend, but that doesn't mean he can't open his office like he did when he 'interviewed' the female Omega.

Why will mine be different?

I glanced around the place. The serenity of the hall made shivers rack through my spine. It felt more like walking along the corridors of an old spooky house.

The squishing of my shoes was the only sound I heard as I continued down the hall, eager to reach the end before I break out in fear.

I reached the last door and knocked on it before I stepped back. My palms were sweaty, and my heartbeat was a bit too fast.

"Come in." A voice called out from the inside. The voice sounded so much like the rumble of thunders on a rainy day.

I gulped before I did as was asked. I gently opened the door and stepped in before I closed it behind me.

I glanced around that place. Three black couches surrounded a table, which looked to be made of pure mahogany. The soft rug under the table was a deep red —it looked like blood.

By the side is a large shelf of books, arranged so neatly, it put the School's library to shame. The window is drawn, letting in the soft evening light.

On a reading chair not too far from the window sat a man, with his back turned to me. I haven't seen the new principal since he came over. He hasn't given us a formal speech, so we are yet to meet him.

His long blonde hair cascaded down his back. Had I not known I was meeting a man, I would have thought the new principal is a woman. Never have I seen such long hair on a man. It passed his butt.

"Hello," I called out, trying not to sound nervous. I need to stand my ground, take a breath, and act like I wasn't affected by how silent the entire room was.

The man immediately turned. A gasp left my mouth at the sight of our new principal. He's by far the most handsome man I have ever seen. His blue eyes looked like the sky on a bright winter morning.

I can even feel the frostiness in them. The curves of his eyebrows looked like something a make-up artist spent hours to achieve. His pointed nose isn't that long. It's small and beautiful —a good compliment to his mouth.

His strong jaws seemed like something that can cut through glasses. Aside from his hair, nothing else about him looks feminine.

He's putting on a black shirt, with black slacks. A black coat is draped over his body. He seemed like one who was preparing for a cold winter night, which seems a bit plausible.

We are still in our Summer season. It's not winter.

His blue eyes racked through my body. He started from my head and went straight to my feet before it returned to my eyes. "You must be Brys?" He rose from his chair and strode towards me.

The only sound I heard was the sound of his coat as it trailed down the floor after him.

"Ye. Yes, sir! I'm Brys."

I tried not to shiver, both from the hotness of his gaze and how frosty his voice sounded. Compared to when I was outside the door, he sounded so cold, like the winter I just thought of.

"Hmm." He stopped in front of me, and once more, his eyes racked through my body. "The stories about you, did no justice to you, Brys." He motioned to the couches behind me, "have a seat."

Like a controlled robot, I walked over to one of the couches and plopped down on it with my gaze fastened on him.

My legs shook, but I tried not to show it. I can't afford to let him know how scared I am, by his presence. I felt this need in me to bolt for the door, but I sat still, with my hands placed on my knees.

It doesn't help the fact that I'm in an Alpha's room. The former principal is an Omega. But this one here is an Alpha. I'm just like a prey in the den of a predator.

He sat on the couch opposite me and crossed his legs. "Relax. Your breath is hurried." He smiled, but to me, the smile felt off.

I gulped, "well, I can't help it, sir. I don't understand why you asked me here."

It's a bit odd that he never asked for Ray, and neither did he ask for Storm. I was the one he asked for, which sounded a bit peculiar. It made me wonder why he asked of me when I wasn't among the victims.

"Well, you see, Brys." He rose from the couch, "you don't have to be afraid of me. Just take me as one of your teachers. As for why I called you out," he beamed, "I just wanted to get to know you."

Know me? I squinted, "why will you want that, sir? There is nothing special about me. I just....." I trailed off, not knowing what to say about this.

"What do you want? I have an apple and strawberry juice." He winked at me when he saw the strawberry part.

My cheeks turned red as I shyly glanced down. What's with the Alphas and my strawberry scent? It's not as if I'm the only Omega with a strawberry scent. Though I've not met one, that doesn't mean there are no others out there.

"Nothing. I'm okay, sir. I just had breakfast." Though it was uncomfortable.

"Well, if that's what you desire, Brys." He sat back on the couch and joined both hands. "As you know, I'm your new principal."

I nodded as I discreetly glanced at the door, eager to leave. Being in the presence of the principal made it seem like I'm being frozen.

"I have heard so much about you. So, I was hoping we could be friends?"
