Suspicious

I advanced towards the place I heard his voice. My heart kept on beating loudly in my chest the nearer I got to him. I walked around the large tree and that was when I saw him. My Omega. He was sitting on the ground, looking up with his wide expressive purple eyes, the same I fell irrevocably in love with.

"Storm," he whispered, peering up at me. "What took you so long?" He accused, turning his mouth up in a pout.

Brys was dressed in the same clothes he wore when he waved me farewell to the rest of my family members.

"Brys?" I was still awed by what was happening. I couldn't believe my eyes, couldn't tell if I was hallucinating. Brys was right in front of me, unscathed, in a forest that was rumoured to kill any who weren't part of the royal line.

Had that always been lies? It seemed to be the case. Our ancestors must have made it up to prevent anyone from stepping into it.
