I needed to justify the feeling I was having, to know if I was only suspecting something I shouldn't even have to dwell on.
"Why do you suddenly want that?" He frowned. "We have an urgent task at hand, and all you wish to know is how we met. Are you crazy?"
"I believe I am."
He exhaled, giving in to me when he realized I would not let it slide like he wanted. "Come over, and I will tell you all you wish to know. Everything." He beckoned for me to step into the path.
There was nothing suspicious about his words; however, the glint in his eyes further strengthened my resolve to be certain the person in front of me was Brys.
"Why don't you come over here?"
"No, you come to me." He folded his arms, his stance identical to the one he had when he confronted me about this mission. The man in front of me looked just like my Brys. It made it impossible to suspect him, but I had to confirm. To be on the safe side.
