Elijah's preparations didn't take long, as Elijah only needed to carry a bag with money and some of his original clothes to go back on the mission. By sunset, Elijah was ready to leave with his belongings. Amisha and Hafuza decided not to go anywhere that day to help Elijah prepare. When the time came for Elijah to leave, they automatically escorted him to their doorstep.
As per their previous agreement, Elijah was not allowed to give Amisha and Hafuza any money before his departure. Elijah could only thank them, then approached the exit for the first time since he had lived in their house.
"Then, I'll be going."
Elijah was not the type of person who used to say goodbye when he wanted to leave, especially when the person in front of him was just a stranger Elijah had known for seven days. However, Elijah did that out of his free will. He looked at Amisha, who smiled softly as she nodded, then at Hafuza, who was quietly looking at him with worry.
