This story is about two mentally broken people who cannot give one another what they want, even though deep inside they wish they would find solace in each other, thus, although there is no "real" romance, they still manage to form their own twisted connection, and they don't really mind it.

When Ah Yeon opened her eyes, she found herself looking at the familiar ceiling of Min Hyun's bedroom. Her eyes felt like they were sewn together so she had to make an enormous effort to keep them open, and whenever she tried to move or even as much as take a deep breath, her whole body responded with nothing but severe pain.

The whole room was smelling like pure alcohol and a mixture of medication which was burning her nose and lungs, and when she was finally able to turn her head to find the source of that despicable smell, she realized that she was hooked up to an IV drip, while the nightstand to her right was cluttered with dozens of packs of pills, bandages, ointments, and sealed syringes.

'I guess he called in a doctor for me... I can't believe he still did not find it in him to bring me to the hospital.'
