Bones

After we cleaned ourselves up after finishing our morning of pleasurable activities, we decided to continue on with our journey to try and get out of here. Thankfully we didn't get lost as we had made a marker on the floor, telling us what direction we came from.

We went forth into the unknown, somewhat prepared for what may or may not come out and rush us for whatever reason.

But it all ended up being more of the same, just and endless mossy stone floor, nothing changed and our days just went by like that, aimless wondering and sleeping.

Thankfully we could sustain all our bodies needs with each other's company.

When we woke up, we would suck and fuck, then do some travelling, when we were tired, we would stop, make a fire and rest, maybe have some quick sex as well, the go to sleep and repeat, over and over again.

This routine of ours went on and on for days on end. And even though we didn't know how much time had passed, we simply counted whenever we woke up as a day had passed.

We didn't know how long we would be here for but we both were getting rather irate at this point, mainly because it was coming up on two 'weeks' of being in this barren place.

When it was coming up to the end of the thirteenth day, which was when we got tired of travelling, we finally saw something. It was only the vague outline of something but it was still something, which was better than nothing at this point.

We rushed towards the thing quickly, wanting to know what it was so that we could have something else to do other than travel, sleep and fuck.

As we closed in on the object, details about what it looked like slowly became clearer. It was white and seemed to arch upwards into the non-existent ceiling. When we got closer to it we soon discovered that it was most likely a bone from one of the beasts that Shirayaa theorized about in days prior. It looked to be about twelve meters wide.

Looking at the bone closely we could see that the bottom of it seemed to have its tip broken off, causing it to fall down. The strange thing was that it didn't seem to have damaged the floor, not even a little bit.

We tried to damage the bone but found that we couldn't even leave a scratch, that indicated that it was infinitely more powerful than us, and if that thing had died here, then what would our fate be? We looked into each other's eyes, fear prevalent in our gazes.

"What now?" I asked.

"We keep going in the same direction I guess." She replied.

"Really? I mean, what if we just end up not finding anything again?" I asked.

"Then we don't find anything. It's not like it'll make a difference to us, considering we've been wandering this place for so long." She said.

"But first, we rest, it's been a long day."

And so, we set up a small fire and cuddled up together and went to sleep.

After we woke up and finished our morning routine, we ventured off, hoping to find another part of the skeleton, whether that be the piece that broke off the bone we saw before, or something else.

Another couple of days passed and we found what we think to be the tip of the bone we saw a few days prior. The part we came across was the tip of the bone, so we took another day to travel to the other side, just to see if there was anything of interest.

When we got to the other side, it was obviously twelve meters tall, as the bone fragment was on its side.

Dripping down from the middle of the fragment was a glowing blue liquid that sparkled with white blips intermittently.

"What is that?" Shirayaa asked.

"I don't know but it looks like it might be dangerous." I replied.

"Oh, stop being such a wuss about everything. This is why you always rely on me, you need to learn to be able to do things by yourself, because one day, I might not be by your side." She scolded.

"D-Don't say something like that!" I shouted to her. "I-I don't w-want to lose more than I already have." I began crying.

I tried wiping my tears away but they wouldn't stop. That's when Shirayaa enveloped me in a hug, and rubbed my back to calm me down.

"Shh, shh, I know, I know. I overstepped with my words there, but I meant what I said, you do need to learn to rely on yourself more ya'know?" She said in a soft voice.

A few minutes later I finished crying and apologised to her. "I'm sorry, but you know what's happened in my life, I just can't take the thought of losing you too."

She hugged me tighter in response and said, "I know, I don't ever want to leave you, but sometimes life will find a way to separate us, and we would have to find our way back to each other. I just don't want you to freeze up in situations like that, that's why I'm harsh on you."

We let go of each other and I'm momentarily surprised with a kiss from my lover, which I quickly lean into. We finish with a thin thread of saliva connecting our mouths before returning to look and the mysterious liquid. We stare at it for a few minutes, not knowing what to do with it.

"Should we drink it?" She finally asks.

"I don't know, is it dangerous?" I asked back.

"I can't sense any danger from it." She replied.

"Do you want to drink it or should I drink it?" I asked.

"Uhh, you drink it." She said hastily.

"You... YOU BITCH! You called me a coward and then you tell me to drink this thing like a coward!" I shouted at her.

"Ehehe... hehe... Uh... Just drink it already!" She stammered before shoving me towards the bone fragment with the dripping blue liquid.

"Ughh, whatever." I said irritated.

I went over to the sparkling blue liquid that was spilling out of the twelve-meter-wide bone fragment. The liquid seemed to be seeping out of the centre of the bone and then dribbled down towards the floor, but it seemed to be moving very slowly as it still hadn't reached half way between the floor and the leakage point.

I had to climb up the side of the broken edge of the bone, which was the same side that was leaking that strange liquid. Thankfully the surface of the bones snapping point, which was where it had snapped off of the rest of the skeleton, was not smooth and was just barely enough to let me climb up.

I had managed to climb all the way up to the liquid, and extended my tongue out to take a few drops. The moment it hit my tongue I was hit with a wave of energy that overwhelmed me and I passed out.
