Demon

(Aaron POV)

I was fighting two of the soldiers in front of me when I suddenly felt an oppressive pressure descend, and I could tell that the two men in front of me felt it also.

I turned my head towards the source of this dread that I felt and saw the snake that Cythistia was carrying on her back was the one who was doing this. She was the one making this pressure.

Her face was covered in darkness and the only thing visible on what should be her face, was two glowing crimson eyes filled with pure rage. She lifted herself up and I felt the pressure of being in the presence of a powerfully evil being.

She then suddenly disappeared and I felt the weight of her power pressing down upon me increase for a moment before it lifted again. I looked to see where she went and saw her in front of Viscount Daren.

He screamed like a pig which made me a little happy. Seeing him like that was really satisfying as Jack and I have had to deal with him multiple times now, and none of those times were pleasant experiences.

I then saw the serpent girl punch the Viscount, or more accurately, punch his magical barrier. She stared at him for a while before looking at the scroll in his hands.

Then I saw the girl cover her fist in a dark red and ominous flame and destroy the scroll that was going to capture lady Cythistia with ease, as if it were a normal piece of paper, though she did have some strange and powerful looking fire to help her do so.

Daren then shouted in panic and saw that it was impossible for her do do what she just did, but that drew her attention back to him, and she punched him with her fist once more, which was now on fire, and shattered the barrier that protected him.

The Viscount then stumbled to the floor and shuffled backwards as the serpentine girl slowly slithered forwards. When the Viscounts limbs stopped working and he sat there, shivering in fear, the serpent girl reached him and punched him into the ground with a mighty blow, causing the ground to crack and tremble, making every one of us shake as the tremors of the impact reached us.

The snake the tried to grab the man's throat but the barrier came back up again, clearly having recharged enough to defend him, but it was infused with too little mana as a flaming fist punched its way through and set the robes on fire.

The viscount was awoken abruptly, screaming in pain as the fire consumed him.

My limbs were trembling at the sight of the man on fire, being picked up by the monstrous little girl, who opened her jaw wide, and stuffed the man's head inside her maws, and began swallowing him alive, still on fire.

I heard the sound of metal rattling, I took a glance and saw the soldiers that we were fighting were shacking so much that their armour rattled together. Soon I heard a small cacophony of rattling coming from the remaining soldiers.

As their leader was being devoured right in front of them, I caught a glimpse at one of their faces through their helmets. Their expression was that of abstract horror. They didn't seem to be able to comprehend what was happening in front of them.

I was barely able to hold it together, seeing the sight of a man being swallowed whole, as I'd seen a different depiction of this same scene. I saw a wild forest serpent pounce upon a rabbit and swallow it in one gulp.

But this was worse, the Viscount was being burned alive as his muffled screams echoed from within the insides of the snakes' stomach, which was now bulging as her prey was being shoved in there.

When the serpent girl had finished devouring the Viscount, she just stood there for a while looking up into the sky mindlessly, and then she turned around to look at us. More specifically, the battlefield.

Her gaze was like she was eyeing everyone up, seeing who would be the most filling, the most delicious, the most appetizing.

She turned her body around and continued staring us all down with her lifeless glowing crimson eyes.

One of the soldiers nearby fell on their backside in fear, and soon the rest of them started doing the same. All of them dropping their weapons as they did so.

Then I heard a scream.

"AAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!" It resounded out loud enough for anyone to hear it. I looked over to see one of the humans on their ass get up and start running away. This action prompted the rest to do the same, leaving their weapons scattered on the floor as they did their best to run away from this monster.

They kept on screaming things like 'Demon!' and 'Monster!' as they ran.

Soon, it was just us rangers, that minotaur, and the demonic looking serpent girl.

When the armoured soldiers left everyone's range of vision, the oppressive and evil aura disappeared. I looked back to see the serpent girl looking tired, both physically and mentally. She then started to sway side to side slowly.

If not for lady Cythistia suddenly rushing over to her, I think the serpentine girl might have fallen onto the floor.

(Traytora POV)

I barely remember what just happened as I sat on Cythistia's back.

All I can remember is abruptly waking up with red vision, not from bleeding but from my demonic power taking over. I remember that I ate someone and that they were trying to capture Cythistia or something but that was about it.

When I came out of that state, I saw a bunch of other stags besides Cythistia scattered around a dirt road of some kind, all of them looking at me like I was some kind of freak. Then an awful ache washed over me, making me almost fall to the ground, if not for Cythistia catching me before I could.

She held me in a hug, crying for some reason, before she told me to get on her back to rest, which I did happily as I felt really tired. And then everyone started to move along the dirt road in a formation.

We were clearly moving somewhere but to where specifically, I didn't know. I wanted to ask what happened, but I still wasn't used to not being able to speak so I just ended up making myself cough.

I felt something wet come out as I coughed, and saw that it was blood. I looked at it in shock, and then worry, which someone noticed.

"You shouldn't try speaking right now, your voice was already broken and with that horrible screech you did the other day, well, I'm not surprised at that." I heard Dorrak say, pointing at the blood on my hands. "I suppose you'll want an explanation for everything then?"

I nodded my head and he began his explanation
