Journey to Athenela
While sleeping I dreamt about my mother and the meals she would always make me when I was just a tiny little snake who barely knew of anything in the world. It was nice but then the details of my surroundings started do turn black, and then my mother started turning to ashes.
I rushed over to her, frantically trying to keep her form together in any way I could, but it was all for nothing. I could only watch as her smiling visage slowly turned to dust.
I cried out for her to stay, to not leave me again but she was already gone. And all that was left was a pile of ashes and a wooden bowl.
Seeing that bowl, I think I understand why I had this dream. Because the stew made me remember my mother's cooking.
I started crying again.

When I woke up, I was tightly embraced by Cythistia, who seemed to have instinctively done so because she felt me crying in my sleep.
I embraced her back and slowly drifted back into a slumber again.

I was woken up later by Cythistia, and thankfully didn't have any dreams of any kind this time, just a peaceful sleep.
We got up and went outside to see breakfast ready and waiting to be consumed.
There was just some bread with some of leftover bear meat that wasn't used in the stew. There was still around like half the bear left after last night's dinner and this morning's breakfast.
I pointed at the carcass to ask what they were going to do with it.
"Oh that? They're probably just going to haul it back with us so that Jack and Aaron don't have to hunt as much food when we stop and take a break from travelling." Cythistia explained to me.
After my question was answered, I dug into the breakfast sandwiches.
I bit into the meat stuffed bread and the meat that filled it, tasting the rich flavour of the cooked meat enhanced with some salt. The fluffy texture of the bread combined with the soft and chewy meat went well together.
I had another two sandwiches for breakfast before they ran out of bread. I was sad but we also had to get going if we wanted to make a good pace today.
Once more Cythistia offered for me to ride her back and I just went with it this time as I felt it pointless arguing with her about it, she just wouldn't take no for an answer.
And like that we spent another day trotting along the road towards what was apparently Cythistia's home.
Unfortunately, we didn't have as great a meal as last night, nor would we until we reached Athenela.

The following day, we did the same thing. Wake up eat breakfast and set off.
This would be a boring trip, but at least I'm not alone this time.

It was just past midday and I was bored and decided to pass the time by taking a look at my Soul Scroll.

I checked the conversion rate and it didn't seem to have changed at all. 'Hmm, what to choose? I think... I think I'll go with five into defence and then five into magic and the rest into strength.'

'Yeah, that should do for now.' I leaned forwards onto Cythistia's shoulder and looked back over my Soul Scroll. My Bloodline skill tree seemed rather empty so I wanted to see if thinking of possible Bloodline powers might actually create them.
But, what's the difference between Bloodline and Racial skills? Racial skills seem to be skills pertaining to my race while Bloodlines seem to be something that comes from my parents.
That then begs the question, what do MY Bloodlines offer me?

I can't think of anything. Maybe I should try combining skills and seeing if the outcome creates a new skill.
