Time Passing

I'd asked for a map of the city from Cythistia's parents and they gladly obliged, giving me an expensive magic one that could let me zoom in on any location I desired.

Using my new map, I was able to reach the dwarves workshop with some time to spare.

I was once again going to be working with Derik.

I wasn't going to be doing any smithing any time soon as it was more of him guiding and teaching me how to do my job, alongside testing my knowledge on the books I had studied yesterday.

I spent the rest of the day learning under him until lunchtime, where I was promptly given a larger book and told to go home again.

I asked why I was being sent home so early and was told that because I was new here, I was let off early to read and comprehend the books I would be given.

I would have rather stayed and learned by practicing manually but I knew the upsides of reading what I was told to, after all, it did help me when I actually practiced some smithing techniques.

I also got some skills out of it as well.

[Ding!]

[You have learned [Hammering Technique], [Smithing Eyes] and [Smithing Instinct].]

Those will come in handy next time.

Anyways, I went back to my new home and went back into the study/library to read the book I was given as well as go over the other books because I got some of the things that I was tested on wrong.

The same thing happened today in which a servant came and asked everyone if they wanted lunch. I said yes of course and asked for a double portion as I felt quite hungry.

When lunch came, I'd finished recapping the first three books and moved onto the one I got today. This one turned out to not be anything to do with smithing but it was actually a record of all the known metals.

This particular book seemed to be an extended version, detailing the metals and what they looked like as an ore as well as in a pure metal form.

It also gave a quick guide on how to differentiate between each metal as well as an extensive description on the history behind each metal.

It was rather fascinating to be honest, and I enjoyed reading it so much that I read it again once I was done. I finished reading the book a second time and wanted to read it again but it was late so I decided not to.

I Left the book on the table next to me along with the rest of the books and went off to do something else, I didn't know what but I just wanted to do something else to pass the time.

I ended up asking one of the butlers that I passed for a small tour of the manor. He showed me where all the important rooms where and also explained how to navigate my way around the building.

When he asked why I wanted this tour I explained that I just wanted to pass the time. He suggested that the next time I wanted to do such a thing that I could just take a wander through the gardens.

At this point evening had befallen the city and I went off to have dinner with Cythistia and the rest of her family. Sadly, it was just the two of us as the rest of her immediate family was busy. We ate our dinner and I actually got to converse with my lover for once.

I told her about my new job and how it was going, even though I had only been going there for a total of two half days. She seemed happy for me which made me smile, knowing that she did care.

I then asked her about her job and what she actually did during the day. She explained that it was her job to go around the city and use her magic to restore any parts of it that may be broken or withering. I was so confused so she went on to further explain that because the city itself is made up of an ancient tree, which is obviously a magical one, she needs to replenish that magic in certain areas using her unique affinity for [Nature].

She went on to explain the intricacies of how the city was still a living being of sorts and that only by her magic or by [Life] magic itself could the city survive and thrive as it does now. It's also the reason that the humans started that war long ago, they wanted this tree. The tree itself is also partially sentient and helps defend the city with its own magic.

I was in awe as she kept on talking about the intricacies of her job and the tree, my face filled with endless fascination. Eventually though dinner was finished but I wanted to hear more, so we asked for some ice cream for dessert and she kept on going.

Thankfully she finished explaining everything by the time we had finished out ice cream, and it was now off to the bedroom, where we would both partake in the pleasures of the flesh, specifically Ayuri's flesh.

And that became my life for the next month, wake up and receive a blowjob from my slutty maid, as during that month Ayuri was assigned as my personal maid. I would then take a bath and then go to work, where I would now work full days there.

That was my new routine, and I hoped to keep it as is. Besides getting a personal maid and learning more about smithing, I'd also been getting a handle on my new strength.

I was given a small training area on the Velphine property to use to practice my skills and learn how to properly use my strength without breaking anything.

And today was the day that I would finally get to start actually making some basic weapons and stuff, since my control had become almost perfect, I just needed to put it into practice to refine it down to perfection.

I woke up and received a blowjob from Ayuri as usual and took a shower. I didn't stay in the bath as long this time since I was too excited to remain still.

I had breakfast with Cythistia a little while later and scarfed my food down, wanting to get to the workshop as quick as possible.

"You seem rather eager today, why's that?" She asked.

'Because I'm going to start actually making things from today onwards.' I replied using my runic magic.

"Oh how wonderful, I hope everything goes well, good luck with that!" She cheered on.

I finished my breakfast and was given one last good luck kiss from Cythistia before heading off to the dwarves' workshop, where I'd finally start smithing for real.
