The Audience

It had been a few days since I'd struck an accord with Tobreos, Cythistia's grandfather, where I'd put on a private show where I'd devour death-row prisoners in front of a private audience.

And over the past couple of days, the hunger and desire I'd been feeling had grown since then. I'd been keeping myself busy by researching ways to create something out of the Dungeon Core, more specifically, ways to make it smaller and more usable.

But finally, it was the day of some prisoner's execution, and I would the one doing it. I would finally get to satisfy my hunger.

Using the map I'd received when I first arrived here, I slowly made my way over to the location where this would be happening. I was currently at the edge of the noble district, trying to find my way to the location of the execution.

It was organized in secret, so that the public wouldn't be aware of this, as that would create more negative pollution. Either way, I was looking at the marked location on my map and slowly making my way there.

It was around eleven o'clock and the execution wouldn't be happening until one, so I wanted to find this place first before the time as I knew I would have trouble finding it as this was the first time I'm going there. But it certainly won't be the last.

It took another hour to find it, and by this point I was quite famished, so much so that I really wanted to eat anything really, but I held off that desire until the allotted time.

Shortly after I arrived, the supposed nobles entered the building. They consisted of two female rabbits, as well as a male moose and owl.

The owl caught my attention the most, as he seemed a different compared to the other owl-kin I've seen. For starters, he had a much larger frame, coming in well over two metres tall, whereas most others owl-kin can barely reach one point eight.

His feathers were smooth but not silky, they were more fluffy than anything. And the colour and pattern of each feather was a light brown with a darker brown circle in the middle and a black dot in the centre, like eyes.

"Hmm…" and as I began observing him, he began observing me back, and said, "I assume that you're the one who is going to devour the scum sent to death?"

I nodded in response and asked back, 'Is there anything else you'd like to know? As I'm sure this won't be the last time we'll meet.'

He raised his brow and replied with, "Well there are a few things that have come to mind upon meeting you, so, with your permission, I will ask away."

"Dear…" The white furred rabbit-kin next to him grabbed his arm gently. "You're doing it again."

"Okay, to be fair, you're the one that wanted to come see this, secondly, she gave me permission to ask." The owl replied to his significant other.

And as the two started bickering and arguing with one another, the other pair came forth and began conversing with me.

"I apologise for my sister's behaviour, she gets like that when she's horny." The other rabbit-kin explained. She then introduced herself and the man beside her, "My name is Rayla Snowhide, and this is my husband Triteas Affros."

She gave a light bow along with her husband and I returned the gesture.

"As for these two…" She paused to look back at the two of them still bickering before she continued, "As you know, the other rabbit-kin is my sister and her name is Reyla, and the owl she's constantly squabbling with is her fiancée Runaq Qeith."

I looked at the couple still arguing in disbelief at the fact that they were engaged.

"Yeah, yeah, I know, it's hard to believe when you look at them like this but it's true." Rayla sighed as she reaffirmed what she had just said.

And just as we were finishing up our conversation, it seemed that they finished their argument.

"Hahh, honestly, what am I going to do with you?" Reyla sighed annoyedly.

"Look, you're ultimately the one that wanted to come here, I'm just tagging along because I find the whole process interesting, okay?" Runaq replied, equally as miffed.

"Anyways, let's introduce ourselves, I'm-"

Rayla interrupted them before they could say anything, saying, "I've already told her who you two are, no need to introduce yourselves."

"W-WHA! SIS! You know I like introductions! How could you take that away from me!" Reyla complained to her sister.

"Don't worry about it Reyla." Runaq soothed his girlfriend. "Anyways, we should be getting on with this, shouldn't we?"

"Mmm." I nodded and headed into the instructed room.

"Hold on, we have nearly an hour left to go before we begin, let's get to know each other a bit more, shall we?" Triteas spoke to everyone.

"I suppose, if that's alright with you." Rayla said while looking at me.

"Right! I still have my questions! I presume I still have permission to ask them, yes?" Runaq asked, to which I nodded. "Right, then first of all, I believe you have yet to introduce yourself, so my first question is who are you exactly?"

'Ah, where are my manners, I'm Traytora Arizaraa, fiancée to Cythistia Velphine, and I work as a smith in the workers district.' I told them whilst bowing a little.

"Ah yes, I've heard of you, you're the one that got rewarded a dungeon core recently, weren't you?" Runaq pointed out.

'Indeed, that was me, and no I'm not giving it to any of you, I don't even have it one me.'

"Haha! I wasn't going to ask, I was just checking if you really were the same person is all."

'It's fine. And if you don't mind me asking, why are all of you here?' I decided to ask as I was curious as to why all of them were here.

"W-Well, as you may have heard, I'm really interested in this kind of stuff." Reyla replied.

"Hmph, you're more than interested. Hell, I'd go as far as to say you're obsessed with this stuff. But as for me, I'm only here to see the process, and as my fiancée was coming, so I thought I'd come as well." Runaq added, making Reyla blush like a tomato.

"W-W-W-WAWAWAWAWAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!" Reyla screeched in embarrassment. "W-WHY DID YOU SAY THAT!?"

"Because I know you enjoy these things." He said whilst slapping his girlfriend's ass.

*SLAP*

"HHYYAAAANNN~ S-Stop it, I don't like these th-things!" It was so obvious.

"Sure, whatever you say." Runaq smirked as he rolled his eyes. "Now, back to the questions, I'd like to ask how you're going to be doing this?"

'Doing what? Devouring the convict?'

"Yes, like are you going to swallow from top or bottom first? Are you going to do more than just swallow in the process? What else will you do?" He asked many questions.

"Uhhh..." I didn't respond immediately due to the amount of questions he asked but soon replied, 'Well, I can put on a show for you all if you want.'

"Ooh, that'd be lovely!" Rayla exclaimed in delight. "What kind of show though?"

'I'm part succubus. I needn't say more.'

They all gasped at that revelation. But they quickly agreed to this and even offered to pay me for my service, intrigued by my offer. So now, on top of the pay I was getting for this anyways, I made some extra money on top of that, around fifty gold extra.

We then talked a bit more and got to know each other better. And around ten to one, a pair of elves, male and female, came walking in, they were obviously people who had been affected by this specific individual. They ignored us and walked straight into the observation booth.

"They seemed rather gloomy." Triteas observed.

"No shit they looked gloomy." Runaq remarked sarcastically.

"Why are they even here?" Rayla asked.

'Wait, do you guys really not know why they're here?' I asked them.

"No? Do you?" Reyla asked back.

'If they're not nobles, then they must have been heavily affected by the convict in some way. I don't know what exactly, I just know that the prisoner did something to them and they want to watch them be killed.' I told them what I knew.

"Huh..."
