CHAPTER 262

After rushing out of the mansion and not seeing her following behind him, Ethan majorly gave up hope on her coming for him but not this.

His heart raced as he heard Silver's voice behind him, but he refused to turn fully just yet.

The wind whipped at his hair, and the quiet crash of waves filled the air around him as if offering him some solace. But there was no escaping the rage inside his chest.

He had been so sure, so certain of what he had lost, and now she stood here, just feet away from him.

"I didn't lose you?" he murmured, barely audible, more to himself than to Silver.

Silver's eyes brimmed with tears. Her voice trembled as she took a hesitant step forward. "No, Ethan. You didn't. I chose you… but I made a mistake. A huge mistake, and I'm so sorry. I was lost, I was… weak. But I love you, Ethan. I'm begging you, please, don't let this be the end."
