Chapter 5: Martial Phoenix Empires Princess

As Wudi turned away from the duo, his uncle approached from the side and said, "Let's go." Nodding lightly, Wudi didn't say anything as he followed his uncle to the south side of the mountain. This side was less steep and led to the imperial city, but only the royal clan, Ji clan, and Lui clan had access to the mountain. Even so, the south side had different routes that led down the mountain, and the one they were taking led to the imperial castle where his father spent most of his time. The other two pathways led to separate parts of the imperial city that the Ji and Lui clans respectively controlled.

Entering an entrance that led to a side of the castle with his uncle, Wudi realized that he had never been here before. As this area was meant for vassals of foreign kingdoms and empires. Walking down the long hall Wudi began nodding approvingly and taking in the unique architecture, Wudi appreciated the differences between this world and Earth, not just in terms of cultivation. As they moved further down the hall, they stopped and a guard bowed to Wudi and his uncle before opening the door. However, they quickly realized that the other party hadn't even arrived yet.

Tian Shou snorted lightly, showing his displeasure at the other party's tardiness. Their rooms were in this wing, so they should have arrived first. Not long after, the door opened and a man with a hook nose and a smile on his face, as if he was here to see a show rather than attend an important meeting, entered the room. Behind him was a beautiful and graceful young woman with red hair and sword-like eyebrows. The aura around her was unique, giving off the feeling that she was fiery and haughty, with a somewhat amused expression on her face.

After the two newcomers had given their bows and sat opposite Wudi and his uncle, Feng Jianyu turned to them and laughed boisterously. "Brother Shou, it's been a long time. I'm so excited to have met you on such a happy occasion. This must be Honorable Nephew Wudi," he said, looking kindly at Wudi. However, Wudi could sense that although the man was smiling kindly, he definitely hadn't come here for a good reason. Feng Yuyun seemed to be holding back laughter, and a smile slightly broke out on her face, confirming Wudi's suspicion.

Jianyu continued, "Oh, where are my manners? This is my niece, the fourth princess of our empire, Feng Yuyun." Nodding lightly, Tian Shou said, "It has been awhile. I'm glad to see you both came." Wudi noticed that his uncle didn't pick up on the situation and seemed relieved that nothing underhanded was happening. Wudi himself may not understand what they planned to do, but it was clearly nothing good. Tian Shou continued, "Her cultivation and bearing are good. The Empress would get along with her well," he said while staring at Feng Yuyun.

Suddenly, Jianyu's expression changed to one of confusion, and he asked, "Is the Empress coming here, Brother Shou?" Tian Shou looked back at him with an even more confused look and replied, "No, she has important events. Did you expect her to?" Jianyu's expression became complicated, and he said, "Then how would the princess get along with the Empress, Brother?" Yuyun couldn't hold it any longer and had a large smile on her face.

Wudi paid attention to their expressions and knew that something was about to happen. He looked back at his uncle worriedly, knowing that his uncle wouldn't be a match for Jianyu verbally and wouldn't even try. If they did something underhanded, then his uncle might attack immediately. Knowing he couldn't allow that to happen, no matter what, he calmed down as much as possible so he could take control of the situation as soon as things went south.

Tian Shou finally realized that something was off and showed a conflicting look with slight anger. He said, "Well, wouldn't she get to know the Empress after her and my nephew get married?" Jianyu dropped the confused look and said, "Oh my brother, I see where the confusion is. Feng Yuyun just accompanied me to widen her horizons as she's never seen such a large empire before. The wife you speak of is the emperor's stepdaughter." Just then, a knock occurred on the door, and Jianyu continued, "Oh, that must be her. Sorry, she has a bad habit of taking long naps. Come in."

Despite being the guest and not the host, Jianyu invited the person in himself. The door opened, and a woman who looked to be in her early twenties waddled in. She looked like she weighed more than four hundred pounds and had a large mole on her left cheek.

Wudi, who was prepared for anything, had his mouth open in absolute shock. "What the fuck," he thought. He was so shocked that he failed to notice that his uncle was just as shocked, and his face that never moved like a piece of ore was hanging open wide enough to fit his hammer in his mouth. Weight was one thing and could be considered beautiful in its own right, but she had one of the most grotesque faces he'd ever seen. Wudi thought that if he combed through all of his memories, including Earth, he wouldn't have seen anyone as ugly as this woman.

"Sorry, I was eating," she said coquettishly as she scanned the room, and her gaze landed on Wudi. He instantly felt goosebumps and nearly got out of his seat to run. It was his first time ever wishing he had his brother's retreating abilities. His uncle didn't fare any better. His face went from shocked to disgusted by her coquettish behavior and nearly lost control of his temper.

Standing up, Tian Shou said quietly but with seething rage, "Is this a Joke?" Frowning, Jianyu said, "What do you mean, Brother Shou? This is your future niece-in-law." Motioning for her to come closer, Jianyu said with a big smile, "Now, Chou Xinniang, can you greet your Uncle Shou." Looking over with a disgusting smile and the most coquettish look she could muster, she said while slightly bowing her head and lightly whispering, "Uncle Shou" with a shy voice.

The face that was seething with anger was now shocked and even more disgusted than before, and he nearly vomited on the spot. Wudi couldn't believe what he was seeing and thought, "Who the hell named their kid Chou Xinniang?" This was unbelievable, and he instantly became afraid of her directing her attention toward him.

To prevent such a thing, he stood up and said, "We're leaving with a smile that was neither crying nor laughing." He couldn't even fight back at the duo verbally. He would let them win this one and leave the room immediately. At this time, Jianyu looked at Wudi complicatedly and said, "Why in such a rush, nephew? You should sit down and get to know your fiancé."

Wudi nearly vomited blood looking at Jianyu. Back on earth, Wudi convinced thousands he was a prophet and believed that he had some amazing skills when speaking, but this man's shamelessness clearly stomped him to the ground. Then, an aura erupted, and Tian Shou shouted, "Enough!" The room was quiet, and when everyone thought Jianyu would drop the facade, he said, "Wow, Brother Shou, you've advanced yet again. Quickly, Chou Xinniang, congratulate your uncle."

Everyone was gobsmacked by what Jianyu said, and even Feng Yuyun had a hint of red on her face, slightly embarrassed by her uncle's shamelessness. But as if Chou Xinniang couldn't see an issue with what Jianyu said, she continued by saying, "Congratulations, Uncle." It was at this point that Tian Shou's face was twitching, and an anger he'd never felt once in his entire life was bubbling up at this moment.
