Just got proposed?

*Di-Hee's POV*

I got discharged a few days after the incident. I still don't know what happened exactly. But whatever it was, it certainly, developed something inside Guk-Du. He had been very protective for the past few days.

Whenever a man talks to me in front of him, he becomes a bit aggressive and sometimes rude.

It feels different to know this side of him, but at the same time, I feel safe and secure.

And here I am sitting between Bong-Soon's family to discuss the already planned schedule of her wedding tomorrow. Her cheeks were all flushed, and she couldn't stop smiling.

I don't know what it feels like, but I am sure it was a blissful sensation. Unfortunately, my soon-to-be brother-in-law is not here to see this side of Bong-Soon, which I am sure she wouldn't have shown to him.

For four hours or so we discussed, and Bong-Gi came up with the idea, "We can capture all the moments by photographing, and then we'll decide whether we need to keep all of them or not. How's it?"

"Great," I said, and others nodded.

Then, I and Bong-Gi went to the hall to see the decoration progress. Our friendship went on a good level in the past few days of my stay in the hospital. And maybe be better than before.

After a long hectic day, I went to bed, but a call came, and the user ID said Guk-Du. I lazily picked up the call and said a meek hello.

He immediately bombarded me with questions out of concern. I tried to stop him, but the words fell on deaf ears. After making me fully awake, he stopped and heaved a sigh.

"Are you listening?" He asked after a few seconds of silence.

"Are you out of your mind?" I interrogated with a small and exhausted voice.

"Why?"

"I was about to fall asleep, and I am still sleepy. Bye!" I hung up and went to bed after confirming that my phone was silent.

I fell asleep three hours after the call. He didn't even call again to apologize how rude.

I opened my eyes and saw the clock showing half past seven in the morning. Gosh! I am late. Only three hours are left for Bong-Soon to get married.

I rushed to do my daily business and got ready in casual clothes. Wait! I am the bride's maid, no? Shit!

After one hour, I reached the hall and saw everyone already there. I quickly spotted the bride's room and went there while greeting the people on my way.

Just as I entered, she was already half done. I was hella late.

"Where have you been? I have been waiting since forever." She exclaimed and shot me a glare.

"Woke up late. Sorry. You wanna spoil your mood on such an auspicious day?" I cooed her, and she smiled sheepishly.

Are you kidding me? I gave an expression and helped her get dressed further.

Just in time, she got ready, and the groom entered the room to inspect his fiance. All the female staff present there drooled over him, not even caring that he was the groom-to-be.

Just as I was going to pass by him, I spotted Guk-Du looking handsome and some girl ogling him.

I felt the sudden urge to punch her but suppressed it to ignore any scene in Bong-Soon's marriage.

I went near him, and he turned towards me but then left immediately. Guess what? He is upset about the talk yesternight.

The girl then went behind him, and I felt anger rushing through my body. I went back to Bong-Soon but, the bride and groom were meant to be left alone. Then I went out on the balcony and tried to calm my nerves.

Just then, an unknown man came and started to smoke, and I could feel him staring at me.

"Sir, smoking is not allowed."

"ooh, none of my concerns." he just shrugged and continued to do so.

"Sir, if you continue to do this, I might have to call the guards," I warned him. But he closed the distance between us in return.

"Sir, I am warning you." I pointed my finger towards him, but he took hold of it and pulled me towards him, extremely close.

I tried to withdraw my finger from his hold, but he tightened it more, and my finger started to hurt. Low shirk left my mouth.

"Now, can you? They will probably think we are making out even if they pass by. Would like to come with me tonight?" He spoke near my ear, almost hiding my face to the other side.

"Let go of me!" I struggled to detach myself from his touch.

"Oh, dear. You didn't answer my question yet? I will let you go once you say yes. To my bed."

"Let go of me, pervert! I won't." I said with determination in my voice.

Just then, I noticed that he was reeking of alcohol. So disgusting!

He was about to do something when someone pulled him back. I looked at my red finger and then at the person who saved me.

"Guk-Du," I whispered, and he looked at me with anger. He took the man with him and handed him to the guards, who then dragged that pervert outside the hall.

"Can't you stay safe for a moment without me?" He asked angrily and crossed his arms across his chest to form a determined stance.

"What? He was the one who came, not me." I argued.

"You can't stop hurting yourself, can you? I just went to give wishes along with flowers to the groom and bride, and you already got into trouble." He said with concern filling his eyes.

"Are you hurt?" He again asked, but I was just so lost in his charms. He waved his hand in front of my eyes, and I just pretended to be in some deep thought.

Then he snapped his fingers, and I fake flinched. He arched his eyebrows, and I suddenly had the urge to hug him.

Ignoring his questions, I quickly wrapped my arms around his waist and secured them tightly. His body went stiff, but then he relaxed and wrapped one of his arms around my shoulder and tapped my head from the other.

Just then, the announcement was made, and we hurried to the hall and took our seats.

Photographs and vows were going on, and I felt someone watching me. I turned to see and found a bunch of students looking at me with narrowed eyes.

I ignored them, and the person on the podium announced, "Now you may kiss the bride."

After the kiss, we all clapped, and just then, the photographer asked them to again as he missed the shot. When they were going to, suddenly an employee from their company climbed the stage and threw a bouquet at them shouting 'no'.

A bunch of men came and dragged him down the stage, and the shot went clearly. I turned to my side and found the seat empty.

I looked around as some chatter started to grow, and just when I looked downwards in front of me. I saw Guk-Du kneeling in front of me on one knee.

"Will you marry me, Kim Di-Hee?" He asked while opening a box. It had a ring fitted with some pink coloured gem.

I was shocked and speechless for a moment. Then clapping and voices rose, and I came back to reality.

"Yes," I said with tears filling my eyes. He then took my left hand and swiftly slipped the ring onto my ring finger.

Then clamour rose even more, and he stood back on his feet. Coming closer, he hugged me, and from above his shoulder, I could see the shocked expression of the newly married couple.

They would be. It's their wedding, not some proposing event.

Did I just got proposed, and I said yes? How? When?

Was I so preoccupied with thoughts that it didn't come to me? But I am happy that I chose such an angle for me even amid my thoughts.

Then the voices of some young boys started to come, soon joined by others shouting, "Kiss, kiss".

Guk-Du and I pulled apart and looked at the others. Just when I saw Bong-Soon also doing that, I gave her a look, and she shouted, "Come on."

I looked at her with a shocked feeling. Shouldn't she be unhappy about ruining her marriage function?

I felt a pair of palms holding my face from either side and before I knew it, Guk-Du kissed me softly for a few seconds before pulling back.

I could feel my cheeks burning hot red. I lowered my head, and Guk-Du picked me up in a bridal style and started walking towards the exit.

"Not this now," I said, hiding my face and trying to become invisible.

"Why not?" he whispered and continued walking.

"I just want to become invisible," I whispered to myself, forgetting the fact that the man holding me could hear.

"Yes, you want to."
