Just in 28 minutes!

*Di-Hee's POV*

I rushed into the office building and saw just a few members. Most work in pairs - male and female - that usually doesn't happen. I went towards the cabin of Mr Han and knocked on the door twice, waiting for permission to enter.

"Come in" His voice rang cause the corridor was empty.

I entered and saw him back-facing me. Good. I don't want to show the discontent on my face to him.

"Sir, you called me?" I asked in a professional tone, and he swung his chair around to show his disgusting smile.

"Oh, Di-Hee. My favourite employee, you are finally here." He said in an overcoated voice. The sweetness was dripping from his mouth, which was rather annoying.

I just smiled, and he looked at me, but just then, a clicking sound came from his private room in the cabin itself. A familiar girl left the room, but her appearance was rather disturbing. Her makeup was all messed up, the lipstick was smudged, and her hair was messy. Just then, I noticed a deep red mark on her neck.

"Di-Hee, look at me when I am talking." Mr Han's voice rang loudly across the room, and I jerked.

"Sorry, Mr Han. You said that it was some important work." I tried to say something further, but he stood from the chair.

"May I leave Mr Han?" The girl said as she smiled sheepishly. Mr Han nodded once, and the girl walked out of the place wobbly. What was she even doing inside the room? My thoughts were going to her appearance again and again.

Did she? How is that even possible? I shook my head and looked at the person in front of me.

"Come, I want to show you something. We have to work on this together." He said, pointing his hand towards the same room.

This gave me a feeling of nostalgia. Something wrong, very immoral, and similar, somehow.

"I have seen that your health has been a great concern of the company. You have taken many leaves, first for the accident, then the kidnapping, and the recent one. What was that for?" He spoke continuously, chewing my mind.

"My wedding," I spoke proudly, and the shock was visible on his face.

"You got married? You are joking, right?" He was a bit disappointed - his face clearly showed that.

"Sir, why would I joke about something so pure?" I was sure that his intention was something else. I trust my gut for this.

"So you are not joking. Who is your husband? I mean, his occupation." It was weird that he was asking such things so suddenly. He never did that.

"He is in the police. Just got promoted to the higher post." I could see a hint of jealousy in his eyes, but still, he smiled.

"You go inside. I will be there shortly." He left the cabin after saying that. I went towards the brown-coloured wooden door and wrestled the knob.

The room looked just like a bedroom. A big bed shone in the centre, couch in the leftmost corner. The right wall was decorated with various things, but they seemed vulgar. Another door was there right beside the wall decorating the creepy items.

The sound of water coming from there appeared like a bathroom. I went towards it, but before touching anything, I remembered that it was his private room and I should not touch anything without his permission.

"Oh, why are you standing? Look around." Mr Han's voice came out of nowhere. I turned around, and he had some drinks in his hands.

"These will help us stay up at night. It's a long project. We have to submit it before tomorrow morning." A long project? He never told me about this. I would have informed Guk-Du.

"Sir, I have to inform my husband about this," I said, and he scoffed but then nodded.

I went to the other side of the room to call Guk-Du, but he was not picking up the ring. I dropped a text on his message board.

"Done?" Mr Han asked, and I nodded.

"But where is the paperwork? We have to maintain the record, isn't it?" I asked. He was looking at me and then around the room.

"They are in the bathroom." I nodded at the statement and went towards the other door.

But he said, "Oh, no need. They are here." He is a pain in the ass. He can't even remember something this little.

"See, we have this consignment to deliver to our special client." He said, pointing towards the wall on the right. The same creepy wall.

"But what are they for?" I voiced my curiosity. He then took duct tape and showed it to me. I knew for what that was used.

For the next fifteen minutes, he told me about the most obvious things in the world. But my gaze was fixed on the weird handcuffs and other articles I had never seen.

"And these handcuffs. Touch and feel how soft they are from the inside." I did the same, and they were indeed soft, but why?

"These are handcuffs, then why are they soft?" I looked at him, and he smirked. I was confused by his reaction.

A hand grabbed mine, slid in the other cuff in both my wrist, and laughed expressing. "This the reason why."

I struggled to get the cuffs off my wrists, but they only got tighter with the movement. "There's no use to do this. You are only going to hurt yourself, darling." The unknown man said, and I felt disgusted with him.

"I am not your darling." I spat at his face, and he chuckled. "You are in no position to do that to me." He maintained his calm voice, but I moved my hands to be free.

"No, no, no. Don't do that. You already have me turned on. I don't want to hurt you in the worst way possible." He grabbed my arms to stop me from moving.

"Di-Hee, you have cuffs behind your back. Don't move." Du Seo said while retreating after closing the door. I enlarged my eyes, realising what I was doing.

"Meet my cousin, Seo Ki. You see, the woman from earlier was your junior. She was here to satisfy his needs, but alas, she was nothing he needed to satiate his hunger." He stated with a smile that drove me to want to punch him.

"And you look like what I had back in the States." Seo Ki said, but before I could say something, he put a piece of duct tape on my lips.

He wrapped his arms around my waist from behind, and I struggled to break free. "Du Seo, you have such disobedient employees. I am disappointed in you." Seo Ki complained, and I could see Du Seo smile.

"No worries, brother. I have this handled." After saying this, he put something on his handkerchief and forwarded it towards me. I shook my head to avoid it, but he still succeeded.

"That was not needed. This room is soundproof, no?" Seo Ki said, but the door opened, revealing Bong-Soon and Guk-Du. After that, everything went black.

~~~~
Beep, beep, beep. It was the only sound that rang in my ears as the things that happened in the daytime surfaced. 'And you look like what I had back in the States.' 'We have to work on this together.' ' I have this handled.' All the scenes replayed in my mind, and then the day when I was once fourteen, memories came flooding.
'Where are you taking her? You should not take her anywhere without her permission.' 'Guys, I found one for me.' 'Just follow as I say.' 'Yeah, children are indeed the best.'
I could feel my tears sliding down my temple. But I could not move my body. I just lay there, guilting over, not knowing how to protect myself.
"Doctor, how is she?" I could hear Guk-Du's voice, and suddenly I wanted to cry more.
"Her past trauma resurfaced due to whatever happened. Her mental state is depressed. She needs more rest, and try not to say anything about what happened." The doctor's voice was also exact, but I was still. I was not capable of moving my body or opening my eyes.
I wanted Guk-Du to acknowledge that I was awake and tell him to take me with him. Somewhere far away.
"But why is she not waking up?" Guk-Du was concerned. Guk-Du, I'm awake! I tried to yell, but all that got swallowed up in my brain.
"Unfortunately, she went into a coma. We have to wait till tomorrow. It depends if she will wake up tomorrow, or we can't say if she'll ever wake up." The doctor's sentence gave me the reason why I was not able to do something.
I heard retreating footsteps. Is he gone? Did he leave me here, all alone?
"Di-Hee, why are you doing such things to me? Don't you want to see the people who hurt you getting punished?" He was sobbing.
I felt a little-to-no touch on my hands. He started crying. Badly.
I wanted to comfort him but felt helpless. Then I heard noises of footsteps coming, no, running.
"Mr In, your wife's brain is working more than possible. There is a chance that she is in a half coma or a paralysis state. We need to do some brain tests on her. If you permit." The doctor said, and my happiness was beyond the line. I wasn't in a coma. That means I can get up as soon as possible.
All I have to do is wait.
