chapter 11:

As the sun began to rise over Tokyo Area 49, Geno felt a sense of unease settle over him. It had been a week since they had fought off the mutant attack, but the scars of the battle still remained. The area was quiet now, but he knew it was only a matter of time before something else came their way.

He made his way to the top of the watchtower, scanning the horizon for any signs of movement. In the distance, he saw a group of scavengers making their way towards the city. They were armed and looked dangerous.

Geno quickly sounded the alarm, alerting the others to the incoming threat. The survivors quickly mobilized, taking up defensive positions around the perimeter of the city.

As the scavengers drew closer, Geno could see the fear in the eyes of the others. They had been through so much, and the thought of another battle was almost too much to bear.

But Geno was determined not to let them down. He had been through worse before and knew what needed to be done. He rallied the troops, calling out orders and directing their movements.

As the scavengers breached the perimeter, a fierce battle ensued. Gunfire echoed through the city as the two groups clashed. Geno fought with all his might, his training kicking in as he took down one enemy after another.

Despite their best efforts, the scavengers were no match for the well-trained and determined survivors of Tokyo Area 49. They were eventually forced to retreat, leaving behind their dead and wounded.

As the sun began to set once again, Geno stood among his comrades, feeling a sense of pride in what they had accomplished. They had once again proven that they were a force to be reckoned with, and that they would do whatever it takes to survive.
