Chapter 8

AMBERS POV

"GET YOUR SORRY ASS AWAY FROM MY GRANDDAUGHTER!" my mother said as she busted into a large room. Kyra was tied to a table screaming pain as some sort of energy went into her.

2 children laid on the floor lifeless, I could only assume what he was doing suddenly the man disappeared for a second reappearing in front of my mother and grabbing her by the neck then lifting her off the ground.

the ball of energy that was once in his hand went into the body of the Little girl who was laying on the ground and suddenly life came back into her.

"I've grown tired of annoyances, it seems witches only learn when one of there own die" the man said "don't you fucking dare!" I yelled. my mother looked at me, she knew what was about to happen. "Close your eyes kyra!" my mother tried to yell. Kyra had stopped crying out in pain at this point.

Kyra did as she was told and closed her eyes. within half a second the man's hand was in my mother's chest. "MOM!" I cried out. he pulled his hand out of her chest. "suffer in your final moments witch" he said then dropped her to the ground. I ran over to her and held her in arms.

"Mom" I said as tears welled up in my eyes. "why didn't you fight?" i asked her. she just shook her head. "B-Because I was M-Meant to D-die to-day" she said. "What does that mean?" I asked confused. "You just have to protect that little girl" she said. she somehow managed to bring her hand up to my cheek. "T-Theres a n-note in my j-jewelry box r-read it" she continued. "I will always Love you" she finished as her hand fell to the ground and the light left her eyes.

she was gone.... I laid her gently on the ground and stood up I then turned to the man. "You messed with the wrong Witch You son of a bitch" I said glaring at him.

"First you kidnap my daughter along with 4 other children" I said slowly beginning to walk towards him. "then you kill those children and now you kill my mother" I continued. "I'm not just mad... I'm fucking PISSED!" I finished as I threw my arm to the side causing him to go flying.

"Chris, Nathan get the kids" I yelled "On it" Chris yelled as he ran to Kyra and began untying her.

"you can open your eyes now Kyra" Chris said calmly. "Daddy?" Kyra said opening her eyes "One of 2" chirs replied.

it didn't take him long to untie her and help her to the ground.

"I'm gonna fucking kill you" I said to the man walking over to him. he quickly got up then appeared in front of me. he picked me up by my neck, I was barely able to swing my legs up enough to kick him, pushing him away from me and causing him to let me go and both of us to fall to the ground.

we both got up and he came charging at me "Ventilabis" I said causing him to be pushed away from me. "MOMMY HES A HYBRID LIKE ME!" I heard Kyra yell. Chris was currently blocking her view of my mother, her grandmother.

'Dammit I don't have any mercury' I thought to myself (Mercury is the weakness of a witch-Wolf hybrid) "that leaves one option" I said aloud. "Nathan, Chris get everyone out NOW" I said holding my arms out.

"Ignis de profundis inferni exsurgat et comburat eum in terra" I said "Ignis de profundis inferni exsurgat et comburat eum in terra" I continued to chant. blue fire began to rise from the ground and over asked his body. "You bitch" he said Annoyed.

he didn't fight the fire, it was almost like he couldn't. then he began to laugh. one of those creepy evil laughs. "you think everything will end once you kill me" he said sounding almost crazy. "my power is already inside her, and with out those children's energy to stabilize it she'll be lucky to live last 10 years" he said. "Without me she's dead anyway" he continued.

"We don't need your help and we never will" I told him as the flames began to melt his skin. "Ignis de profundis inferni exsurgat et comburat eum in terra" I said one last time causing the flames to grow bigger engulfing his whole body and turning every part of him even his screams of pain into ashes.

it was over.... just like that. I turned around and everyone was still there "I told you to go" I said looking at both Nathan and Chris, who were staring back at me. "we would never leave you behind" Nathan replied. "Grammy" I heard Kyra say from behind Chris. she pushed passed him, he tried to grab her arm but wasn't fast enough as she ran to her grandmother.

"Grammy?" she said again. "Grammy you have to wake up now so mommy can heal you" she said. I turned my head away and tightly closed my eyes in attempt to hide the tears welling up in my eyes. "Grammy?" she said once more "your supposed to teach me magic so you have to wake up" she said lightly beginning to shake her.

I walked over to her and knelt, down to her level, putting my hand on her shoulder. "Kyra Grammy isn't here anymore" I said softly trying to hold back the tears. "What do you mean she's right here, she just has to wake up" Kyra said hope in her eyes. I shook my head. "Grammys soul has left her body and gone to another realm. she's not coming back my little light" I told her. my heart only sank as I finished talking.

her eyes went wide, then she looked at the 2 children that were laying on the ground. "Are they dead to?" she asked plainly. "only one" I replied. "what about the other 2 under his control?" she asked. her tone had changed, it was almost cold... almost lifeless.

"Their safe" was all I said. she didn't say anything after that. she just stayed quiet. "Lets go home" I said holding my hand out to her, and after a moment of hesitation, she took it.
