Chapter 7

Kyras POV

everything was silent as she laid on the floor back in the small room she was previously in. she didn't move, not a muscle, for fear of the pain she had felt before would hurt her again.

she both understood what was happening and didn't understand at all. she was confused. why would someone who already had so much power... who could already live forever want more power, and a new body. jt made no sense to her. but then again she was only 5, only a child.

it was now the second day. what time? she didn't know. she did however know that soon the same thing or at least something similar to the night before would happen again. but she didn't want it to. how could she stop it? how could she change what was about to happen to her.

she slowly stood up. pain completely filling her body as she did so. she then walked over to the large metal door, then put both of her small hands completely on it. then took a deep breath in. she didn't know any spells our how to use magic exactly, but she had see her mom do it a thousand times before.

she then closed her eyes and slowly began concentrating all her internal energy through her hands into the door. she had never learned to do it her mother never taught her but she did explain in great detail how to do it if need be.... and Kyra remembered... she remembered every word.

after a few minutes that felt like forever, her hands began to feel weird and tingly. but she didn't stop. she wasn't sure if it was from some sort of energy she was actually managing to build or if it was just because she was standing there so long. but she didn't stop.

another 10 minutes passed with nothing happening she began to wonder if anything was going to happen or not and if she should just give up. then....

Click

Click

Click.

3 clicks in the door causing her to break concentration and back away from the door. then the door Suddenly just fell apart into thousands of tiny pieces. she wanted to just stand there and question if it actually worked but she knew she didn't have time for that and quickly began running.

faster and faster, she had never run so fast before in her life. the place was like a maze one turn after another she couldn't fine her way out. "there you are" a voice from behind her said "lets go it's time for the next stage" the man continued as she turned to look at him.

"no" Kyra said seriously. he stormed over to her and grabbed her wrist then lifted her off the ground. "you don't get a choice, now go" he said throwing her a little ways down the hall way.

"Stay away from me!" Kyra snapped as he began to walk closer to her. he didn't hesitate. quickly picking her up and dragging her to the same room with the strange table she had been to the night before.

he quickly tied her down. she tried with all her might to struggle and fight but nothing seemed to work. "LET ME GO" Kyra yelled continuing to try to pull her wrists out of the confines.

a young boy walked over to the man. his eyes completely green, no emotion on his face. "it's time to begin the extraction of your energy boy. are you ready?" the man said plainly. the boy nodded.

he took the young boys hand and a bright blue glow began to come from their hands. the glow, the ball of energy... only began to grow bigger and brighter. until it just stopped. the boy suddenly fell to the ground his eyes back to normal, but still stained with green.

"how weak!" the man said as he stared down at the ball of energy in his hand. he thwn looked up at Kyra. "now to put this in you" he said seriously.

he put his hand out and the ball of energy in his hand began to leak into her. "Ahhhhh" she screamed in pain as the balk of energy slowly continued to enter her body. "STOP PLEASE STOP!" she begged as she screamed in pain. after 5 minutes it was finally complete.

the only thing Kyra was able to do was cry as she stared at the young boys lifeless body on the ground. this was the day she learned of death. learned what it really meant. learned what it looked like.

"Now for the next child" the man said as this time a young girl walked over to him. "please don't do this to her" Kyra pleaded "please I'm begging you, please don't hurt her" Kyra continued to cry. "oh little hybrid witch the process does not hurt this child like it hurts you" he said. "for these children it is just about painless" he continued.

"I still don't understand why you gotta do this" Kyra said attempting to stop crying. "as I've said once before little witch we are the same the only difference between you and I are you were born a hybrid where as I was made into one" he explained. "this body of mine is slowly dying do to it being created but since you were born your body won't have that issue hence why I need your body" the man explained.

"now I'd like to warn you now little girl if your not strong enough from here on out you'll die" the man said seriously. he grabbed the other little girls hand. "Wait!" Kyra said just before he began "I have one last question!" Kyra said. "what?" the man asked slightly annoyed. "What's your name?" she asked curiously. he ignored her. "let us begin" he said.

he slowly began to take the young girls energy out of her. this time the color of the ball was a deep orange. it didn't take long for him to take all thw energy the girl had and for her lifeless body to fall to the ground just as the little boys had.

then he began to put the ball of orange energy into Kyra. she once again began to scream in pain "AHHHH" she cried when suddenly....

Boom

The door the the room blew open.

"GET YOUR SORRY ASS AWAY FROM MY GRANDDAUGHTER!" Emily Lewis Kyra's grandmother and Ambers mother yelled at the man.
