"Are you going to help her or not?" Vanessa asked. Ryan looked at Kyra again. "Everyone out" he said. "I can't help her if you're all in here," he added. With hesitation doctor Samson, Vanessa and Chris left the room. Ryan walked into the bathroom and over to the tub, then kneeled down. "Kyra," Ryan said, grabbing her hand. Kyra opened her eyes. They continued to flicker between blue and orange, as he stared into her eyes.
"I can help you" he said. "But only if you want me to" he added. "This... is the... heat... isn't... it?" She questioned barely able to get her words out. "Yes" he answered. "But I won't help you unless you want me to" he told her. "You have to be the one to say yes no one else" he said.
She looked up into his eyes. "Yes," she said clearly. Ryan began to help her slowly take off her clothes. Starting with her shirt, then her bra, then her shoes and socks. He then unbuttoned her pants and pulled them off and finally he slid off her underwear.
He carefully picked her up and began to Carry her to her bed. She was completely naked in front of him but the only thing on her mind was the heat. Her scent filled his nose as he took off his shirt. He began to kiss her starting at her lips then moving to her neck and from there he slowly moved down to her breast. Her arousal building as he bit down on her breast, a moan escaping her lips as only a hickey was left behind.
Becoming impatient Kyra flipped Ryan onto the bed. She was now on top of him. "You're too slow," she said as her eyes turned orange. He could tell the wolf she had tried so hard to suppress had finally made its way to the surface.
Instead of taking his pants off she used her wolf strength and ripped them off as well as his boxers. Ryan then took Kyra and flipped her back onto the bed. "Fine then" he said.
When Kyra opened her eyes, she was still naked in bed wrapped in a sleeping Jason's arms. To her this was abnormal. To her it was strange. How did she allow herself to succumb to her heat so easily? She was almost disappointed in herself. "Finally awake huh" Ryan said. Kyra didn't respond, she didn't even move. "You regret it don't you?" He asked her.
"No" was all she said. "This has just... never happened before" she told him. Kyra then moved herself out of his arms and got up from the bed. Walking to a dresser with extra clothes for her she opened it and pulled out clothes and quickly put them on.
"This might happen again in the future" Ryan told her "what are you trying to say?" Kyra asked him as she walked over to the door. "I'm saying that until you find a new mate your heat can come back at any time, your wolf is satisfied for now but I highly doubt that will last forever" he explained.
"Most of my life I was more surrounded by witches than wolves" she told him as she put her hand on the door knob. "If any of us knew how much my wolf half would affect me I'm sure that would have been different' she told him. "What's your point?" He asked. "Just that maybe you're right" she answered "maybe it will happen again" she said. "And when it does I'll have a better Idea of what to do" she added, as she opened the door. "I'll have someone send you up some clothes" she said before leaving the room.
Kyra walked down stairs and stepped outside, closing her eyes as she took in a deep breath of the fresh spring air. When has it ever been this peaceful? She thought to herself when has it ever been this calm.
She wanted so badly to destroy triad, to just get rid of them completely so there would be no risk to her family, to those she loves. But how was she to do that when every lead she had ended up at a literal dead end, almost always from her killing them when they didn't speak but still.
"Kyra," Chris said, appearing in front of her. His shirt was off, he had probably just come from a run. "How are you feeling?" he asked, walking up the steps to her. "Better now" she told him.
For a moment there was only awkward silence. "I got a call from your friend, Sasha," he said. "She started teaching young witches in your coven, and she wanted to know if you wanted to teach a class," he said. "I don't think they have anything to learn from me," Kyra told him. "On the contrary" he said. "I think it would be good for you," he told her. "Maybe something to get your mind off... everything" he said.
"Yeah... everything" she said sitting down on the steps. "What's wrong?" he asked, taking a seat next to her. "I got to thinking recently," she said. "My mother, she changed her whole life for me" she told him. "She was a genius, one who became a doctor by 25 and then she just gave it all up for me. I guess I just don't understand why, when I've become so useless" she told him. "Yeah in a way you're right" he said. "Amber, was the type of woman to protect those she loved even if it meant ruining her, but when it came to you all she wanted was for you to be safe and happy, to her you were perfect you aren't useless and she would never think you are" he said. "One of The last things she told me was how the world wasn't afraid of me because of the chaos I could ensue but the allies I could make" Kyra said. "What if her hopes for me were just too high?" Kyra asked him. "Kyra, your mother knew exactly what she was talking about I have no doubts about that" he told her.
