Chapter 15

"You have my power, why don't you use it," Mikail said. "I'm saving it" Nina told him as she stared out a window. "FOR WHAT" He yelled. "Kyra still lives even in a weakened state. I can sense the power she holds," Mikail continued.

"BE SILENT" Nina yelled as she turned to Mikail and threw him against a wall with her power. "As of right now you are just a man. No power that is your own. You might as well be human" Nina told him. "I will kill Kyra when I am good and ready but when I do I want her to be at full strength" Nina said as she turned back to the window.

"Pushing her to the brink of death was only to weaken her will and show her who is stronger" Nina said. "It won't be much longer before wolves, witches and vampires alike flock to our side" she continued "and when they do I will take Kyra's head and show it off to the world and become..." "What their queen," Mikail interrupted.

"Exactly," Nina replied. "Soon I will rule over all of the supernatural world, even those beyond the witches, wolves and vampires. I will be their queen" she finished.

"You can't do a single thing with MY power" he told her. "Oh Mikail," Nina said, walking over to Mikail, who was still against the wall. "It's not your power any more" she told him.

BOOM

a loud explosion echoed throughout the woods. "Nice job Kyra" Mia told Kyra who had just blown up a large tree with her magic. "Again" Mia said, and this time Kyra used her magic to rip a tree out of the ground and throw it. "Make 3 small" Mia demanded and Kyra reverted the trees back to their sapling state. "I said make them small, not make them saplings," Mia said. "Try again" she commanded and Kyra shrunk 3 trees.

"Alright that's enough" Mia said. "I can keep going," Kyra said. "I understand you want to test your limits Kyra but you need to be gradual with your energy. It's only been a month you may have your full power back but your body still continues to heal" Mia explained.

Kyra let out a deep sigh. "I just want to be prepared for when Nina and Mikail come back," Kyra told Mia. "They think you're dead, Kyra," Mia said as she walked past Kyra. "They know I'm alive mia" Kyra called out. "Mikail may not be in me any more but I know him. He can sense I'm alive, he can sense where I am and he knows my energy" Kyra explained.

"And what about the girl?" Mia asked. "She seems like the type who won't come back until I'm at full strength where she can cut me open and rip me apart all over again," Kyra explained.

"I don't know what I want but they won't stop until I'm dead" Kyra said honestly. "You'll be back to 100% soon kyra" Mia said. "And when you are your going to show them who really has more power" she added before walking away.

Kyra looked up at the sky and took in a deep breath. Why couldn't anything be easy? She wondered as a small breeze blew her hair slightly up into the air. "vicissim quod factum est hic" Kyra said and with a wave of her hands the trees she had blown up and ripped out of the ground and turned into saplings and shrunk all reverted to their prior state before Kyra had been there.

If only life could be so easy. She thought to herself. Kyra let out another deep breath. "I swear to the gods I will kill you Nina and mikail" Kyra swore. "Soon you two along with Triad and whoever leads them will be gone once and for all" she added.

Kyra closed her eyes as a flashback from when she saw her mother popped into her head.

"My little light I believe in everything you do whether it's good or bad," Amber said. "I only wish for you to be safe" amber added. "I doubt that will ever happen" Kyra told her. Amber smiled as she placed her hand on Kyra's cheek. "I know it will" amber told her daughter.

Kyra opened her eyes and stared up at the light blue sky. "I have a bad feeling," Kyra said to herself. "What about" Ethan said approaching Kyra from behind. Kyra turned to look at her younger brother. "Everything" she told him honestly. "Yeah that makes sense," Ethan said leaning against a tree.

"What's wrong?" Kyra asked. "Nothing" he said simply. "Listen I know we may not be super close right now but I'm still your big sister" Kyra told him. "I can tell when somethings wrong" she added. "I dont think I'm gonna become alpha," Ethan told Kyra. "I think ava will" he added.

"What makes you think that?" She asked. Ethan just shrugged his shoulders. "I don't know," he told her. "OK let me ask you this," Kyra said, taking a step forward towards him. "Do you want to be Alpha?" She asked him. He hesitated for a minute. "I don't think so," Ethan replied seemingly unsure.

"Then here's what I can tell you," Kyra said. "Think, and I mean really think about what you want. If you don't want to be Alpha then tell dad and if you do start fighting like hell before Ava beats you at your own game" she told him. "You know I really missed you," he said, hugging his older sister.

Kyra hugged him back. "I missed you too" Kyra whispered into his ear as a form of comfort. "I'm sorry I was such a bad sister" Kyra said as she released him from the hug. "You weren't," Ethan said.

"I meant what I said Ethan" Kyra said. "If you really want to be Alpha then you have to fight for it" she told him. "Show the pack that you deserve to be," Kyra added. "I have a feeling things won't be peaceful for much longer," Kyra said.
