CHAPTER 6

A month had already passed and I was really getting along with TXT, I even listened to their songs, and I really enjoyed it. We had basically become best friends by then.

I got along really well with Hyuka and Taehyun, and Beomgyu too, probably because our age was the closest. Yeonjun and I sometimes chat over the phone. One night, he asked whether I wanted to take a walk with him. I didn't know what I was feeling but I really like being with Yeonjun. He was comfortable to be with and always showed interest in whatever I do. Maybe I liked him or I thought he was just a really good friend, I was confused.

"Mom, I am going to take a walk with my friend." She turned to me and raised her eyebrow.

"A friend? Is it, not the boy you have been talking with over the phone and don't tell me?" Dang, how did she know? I have not even told her about the park's incident.

"Uh, he's a friend, Mom, " I explained, she just chuckled and sat down.

"He's waiting for you outside." She said again and opened her document and read it. How did she know everything? Mothers really knew everything.

I went outside to see Yeonjun leaning on the wall while playing on his phone, he looked up and smiled as he saw me coming.

"Have you waited long?" I asked and walked up to him.

"Nope, I just arrived here. " He replied. We went down the road to the park. We didn't speak but it was rather comfortable.

While we were walking along the path, I felt something brushing against my foot, I looked down to see a squirrel just beside my foot. Before I knew it, I screamed and grabbed Yeonjun by the arms, and run. He just laughed at my sudden action.

"This feels familiar but it's a bit too small to run, isn't it? " He laughed out, I just glared at him and let go of his arm.

"Do you practice hard these days?" I asked.

He pursed his lips and nodded, "We practice really hard, our comeback is near so we give our all."

"You should take as much rest as you can," I replied.

"I guess I am not that fun to be with?" Yeonjun said and huffed.

"I didn't mean that! I really like being with you-" My eyes went wide as I realized what I said.

"I-I mean, you need to rest and all, and w-we are friends, Yes! Yea... We are friends.." I continued embarrassingly, what was I even saying? God.

Yeonjun laughed softly and flicked my forehead, "Okay, okay, I understand. No need to rant like that."

We talked of other things from then on and to be honest, the butterflies that I got in my stomach, and the way my mind went blank every time, pretty much explained the feelings I got.

I was reading the paper our professor gave out in the morning when someone approached me.

"Hi, I am Haeun Lee," I looked up to see a pretty girl with long brown hair.

"Hi, I'm Alanna," I replied and smiled.

"Can I sit here?" She asked and I nodded in reply. The guys didn't attend class today and I certainly did not mind company.

"I always see you with TXT and I always wanted to approach you but I don't want to disturb you guys," Haeun said as she settled down.

"Aw, You should have come, I am terribly lonely without them, " I said and laughed.

"Okay then, let's hang out from now on, " she said and I nodded. We got along pretty well despite meeting for the first time. I could tell she was really outgoing from the way she talked, she will get along with the guys too.

Haeun and I got out of the hall giggling about the cute mistake made by our professor. I heard someone call my name and I turned to see Soobin waving and Yeonjun standing beside him.

"Alanna, we are waiting for you, come!" He said excitedly, I just thought since the other guys did not come, Soobin and Yeonjun would not come either. I went up to them with Haeun and they seemed surprised by our new company. Soobin and I also got along extremely well in the past weeks.

"This is Haeun, she is my new friend." I introduced her to them and to my surprised Soobin could not talk at all, and neither was Haeun. I exchanged a glance with Yeonjun and he seemed to catch up on the situation too.

"Hello Haeun, I am Yeonjun and this is Soobin. We are just going for lunch, come join us." Yeonjun said smirking. I almost could not hide my laugh looking at the blushing pair, well, you can say I have great taste in friends, haha.

We went outside the campus to eat lunch since the cafeteria was not exactly the place for these idols. We sat down at one of the conjoined tables and chairs, it was only me and Yeonjun who did the talking, our other two friends could not seem to talk at all.

"Alanna, let's walk around the campus," Yeonjun asked me smiling. I knew exactly what he was doing and let's say, I was not such a good friend either.

"Okay, let's go, " I laughed. Heh, Soobin probably wanted to kill me then, Haeun looked at me desperately, and I just stuck out my tongue and got up

We went away from them and walked around the campus, it was really a nice day with the sun shining through the leaves, the clear blue sky, and the beautiful birds, exactly what I need after a long boring lecture.

"What do you like to do?" Yeonjun asked.

"Hm, let me think... I really like thrilling things. Like riding a roller coaster, it's scary but exciting." I said, smiling at the thought of having fun at the amusement park.

"I really like it too, we should go sometimes." He said and suddenly stopped walking. He turned to me and smiled, I looked down, blushing hard.

"Would you go on a date with me next weekend?" Shoot, I thought the whole point of leaving those two was to tease them, I was definitely wrong. I took a deep breath trying to calm my racing heart

"Huh? W-what? Is that even possible? I mean, you are an idol.." I replied with a shaky breath. He just chuckled at me while I was absolutely going nuts.

"Well, we can't be seen and it obviously won't be like other people's date. But, I still want to try it with you." Oh, my heart, please calm down. I fiddled with my fingers and moved from side to side.

I nodded and replied, "Okay, let's go." He smiled and scratched his head awkwardly, I just laughed at his action while being absolutely flustered too.
