"I didn't think I would see you again so soon," Ifeanyi said, the corner his eyes crinkling because of the broad smile on his face.

I didn't need anyone to tell me that he was genuinely happy to see me. I hadn't really been more than a week since we graduated and I last saw him. I didn't blame him, he'd been busy with other stuff the same way I'd also had stuffs to deal with.

"As I told you, you could always visit."

I realized the implication of my words the moment I uttered them. He couldn't always visit, at least in about a month or less, it would be remotely impossible.

I took a minute to drink in the sight of him, soak up the image of the boy who made me feel different things I didn't even know were possible for me to feel.

Needless to say, I would miss him an awful lot but I couldn't help it. It was the way of the world, a routine, a cycle. We all meet to part. Sometimes I found myself wondering if it was better that we never even met to begin with.
