Chapter 24

"Who is this guy?" Dae-Seong's manager asked when he was about to start the engine.

Ara sat in the center of Ga-Eul and Do-Yun.

Dae-Seong's head turned towards them as the manager distrusted them. He saw them shivering in the cold as the daylight wind blew on them through the window.

He reacted mildly: "Her friend."

Then he started the engine. The car moved forward as the dogs chased after them.

The car arrived at Ara's bookshop entrance. Ga-Eul opened the car door and got off.

Ara got down and handed the jacket to Ga-eul without even turning her face toward him. And she politely said, "Thank you."

Ga-Eul's absent expression accepted the jacket. His worried eyes were expecting her to look at him back.

Do-Yun kept looking at him. His unconscious mind smirked a little and scornfully mentioned, "See who is getting a reward here?"

Then, Ara's body slightly veered around towards Dae-Seong, who had just gotten off the car and was facing her. She politely bowed. "Thank you, Dae-Seong."

Dae-Seong also bowed politely and got in the car.

Do-Yun was bringing in a cooler face, looking straight, and expecting she would say thank you to him too.

But she curled towards her house as her sneezing shook off her whole body.

Ga-Eul responded quickly, "You're catching a cold."

Do-Yun's cooler broke in a second and was replaced by Dolt as he realized that she had already moved inside.

"I'm okay," her mild voice said, and she kept moving forward.

When Ga-Eul's feet lifted slightly to take a step forward and he followed her back with his unconscious mind, Do-Yun grabbed Ga-Eul's collar and pulled him into the car, saying, "Where are you going?" and said with a jaded voice, "Get in first!"

Ga-Eul stumbled, got seated, and closed the door. Then the car moved.

Ara's opposite bookshop hadn't opened yet.

"Where are you living?" Dae-Seong asked, looking at him through the front mirror and adding, "We'll drop you there."

Ga-eul's straight-looking eyes met Dae-Seong's. A few minutes later, that car halted on the empty road.

He got off and bowed politely as the car moved on.

His phone rang when he didn't even straighten up his body from bowing.

So he took it from his waterproof jacket, which was handed to him by Ara, he responded, "Hello?"

"How is she? Did you find her? Is she alright now?" It was his grandmother's edgy voice.

He responded to them gently while walking along that empty, bright road in the daylight, "Yeah, she is in her house now."

His grandfather heard him on the loudspeaker phone too. They let out a satisfied breath and hung up the phone.

At the entrance of DGI Entertainment Company, the white car arrived.

Do-Yun only got off the car and went into that big building. Then the car took a U-turn and went ahead.

A few minutes later, Do-Yun opened FFB's dormant door, and his shivering feet moved straight toward his room without even noticing his hyungs were coming to him with confused expressions. Their bewildered faces looked at each other.

Dae-Seong's manager and Dae-Seong entered the police station. Dae-Seong's face was covered in a mask and hat.

They walked straight to the police officer who had just arrested Si-U at her home.

He greeted them and bowed, and they also bowed back at him.

Dae-Seong moved to the prisoner Si-U, who was staring at him without even blinking a little while the manager flipped the pages of the case file.

"Please don't involve our boy's name in this," the manager requested.

He replied politely, "Don't worry, I have already changed the topic and gotten a statement from one of the kidnappers."

The manager blinked out of shock and listened to his continuous talk. "They are four schoolgirls who kidnapped the victim," he added. "I have warned them and got a different statement."

"Thank you for your cooperation, friend!" The manager said he was reading the pages of the case file as Dae-Seong walked to the prison where Si-U was in.

"Don't ever try to involve him," Dae-Deong's roguish voice muttered as his angry face got closer to the prison door rod.

She smirked at him while he walked away and she asked threateningly, "Didn't Do-Yun find his parent's killer yet?"

Do-Yun's shocked and scared eyes met her scornful look.

He put his hand on his hip and sighed to distract his eyes from her threatening smile.

And his haunted steps get closer to her again. "I let you slide 'cause you were my friend once in school," he warned with a deadly voice and a ground-facing face.

He straightened up and dreadfully whispered closer to her serious face, "Keep it in your mind!"

"You do. I won't!" She warned him in the same way as him.

He pulled his breath in with force and released it, and challenged, "Let's see!" Their harmful eyes meet each other.

Si-U took off her eyes, shriveled a little while rubbing her nose, and said, looking aside scornfully, "Do you remember your little sister, who isn't your blood relative, but you showed your full love to her, do you?"

He took two steps back lazily, letting go of his angry glance, and facing up at her, "Are you trying to distract my attention?"

"She's alive!" she said, her eyes waving towards his. His slightly unbelievable eyes kept staring at her without moving a little.

"Don't! it is not possible," his stunned mind acting as he warned neutrally.

"Yeah, it is possible as long as our fate is in God's hands," she declared. But he was vacant and moved away from there without minding her words.

"I have met her." His feet stopped right there as soon as he heard her. Then he veered towards her, his doubtful eyes seeking to ask something.

"What are you trying to do?" he annoyed. He was four steps away from her.

"You can't even recognize her eyes?" She casually asked and loftily smiled, "Ha?"

"Don't pull it too long!" He walked furiously to her and grabbed her collar, frowned at her, and demanded, "Tell me straight!"

"She's that girl you saved from me," she revealed, gasping as he dropped his hand.

"How can I believe you?" he asked with a disappointed voice.

She boldly said, "That's your business." He thought for a while, staring at her, and moved fast from there without the manager.

The manager got up from his seat in a rush as soon as he saw him go. So he said thank you politely to the police officer and left in a hurry.

"Where are you rushing to?" The manager sat next to the driver's seat as Dae-Seong pushed the gear fast.
