The new System.

She led them behind the counter and led them through a door the pathway was dark with dim red lights around and at the end of the path was another door, she came forward and knocked on the door

"Ahhhh, can't I rest today another one, come in already" they heard a loud voice from the room, the waiter entered the room, and the place seemed quite tattered, files were littered everywhere making the room look messy in front a work desk and an office chair turned to the back, Nolan could only guess the voice from earlier came from whoever was seating on the chair, he could only guess it was a girl because he could see her long purple hair.

"Frank brought this guy's in, he said you should fill them in on the working system," the waiter said

"I know Nora, you can leave now I'll take things from here," she said, hearing her Nora quietly left the room, once the door was shut, she turned her chair to face the two, Nolan was left in shock when he saw her beautiful face, she had a well-curved face, her clear fair skin, rosy lips and to top it off her light purple eye and sable eyelashes.

'She's beautiful maybe even more than Ally, but I'll remain loyal, thankfully she isn't here else I would have gotten a hard hit to the head" Nolan chuckled at his thought

"I never knew you had interest in other women" Ra commented mockingly.

"I..." He didn't know what to say and ended up keeping shut.

"What's so funny," she asked

"Oh it's nothing important, just remembered someone," Nolan said smiling wryly, scratching his head.

"Hahaha, you're a funny one I like that, now let's get straight to business, you can call me Lia.

Well nothing much has changed with the new system everything still remains the same. We just made things a bit more secretive. I'll run you through the whole thing now." She said throwing her long purple hair behind her back.

Suddenly a bright light shone on top the table and in their front three new gadgets appeared.

"So the thing here is, we shifted the base to a more hidden location. This reader watches have been programmed with a map and a locator that can help you notice any change in the location of the base"

With what she said Nolan knew that it was pretty much a good idea. With this system it would be hard for the attacking faction to find them.

"So we'll be using these watches to find the base and it also notifies us when there's a shift in the base?" Emmy asked to be sure.

"Yes that's pretty much everything it does" She replied back with a bright smile.

"Asides that though, there's also a change in the system for receiving missions. Recently a few of our faction members who went over to the quest board were killed, so we had to adopt a new system as heading to the quest board is a bit too dangerous now" Lia said shabbily as though tired.

She went on to explain the new system that had been adopted in details for the duo.

"That said with this tab books you will be able to receive both missions from the faction and from the quest board"

It wasn't a new thing to have missions from the faction. They were usually just things that benefited the whole faction or things that had to do with the main purpose of creating such a faction. With the way she said it it seemed the faction was taking a more direct approach in giving out their missions.

"You see this faction was created for the sole purpose of eliminating all the people who pose a threat in this game by killing or harming other 'players', the faction sets a bounty on the said person, and the members are sent out to deal with the person to avoid further harm.

Both Nolan and Emmy were already well aware of this, however, it hardly ever mattered if they did the missions offered by the faction cause there was no reward to it!

With the event hosted, it's now a direct something and many are now killing in the open. To stop this we decided it'd be best to motivate our faction members to do their work better by awarding Nano points for each mission taken and completed from the faction mission board"

"I see, so this means our work is only to hunt down these killers?, but how do the faction get to know that these people are actually killers, cause if that's so I can tell the difference between us both" Emmy asked confused

"Your contributions to the faction will be calculated by the system and your rank will increase depending on the number of people you have eliminated ," Lia said ignoring Emmy's question

"For your question, I honestly have no idea. But I can guarantee that your names will never fall in the bounty list." she said nonchalantly and then continued.

"Fill the form so we can add your names to our system again," she said handing the two a form.

"here take this, it's what we use to inform all our member's

[Tab book: grade 2 artifact]

[Description: allows messages from other 'players' as far as they have your tab book access code]

"And this here will tell you your ranking" [Red skull faction ranker]

[Synching with system 10%....100%]

[Current rank: x]

"That's all if you need help with anything we have other officials stationed around the cities like me all their locations are linked to your tab book, you can leave now I have other things to do," Lia said leaving the two dumbfounded, suddenly

Blip a sound was heard from their tab book and a notification popped up

[Faction mission: A target has been found in the train station of a modern city find and eliminate the target]

[Reward: 300 Nano points]

"Right on time, it seems like the faction wants you to prove your worth, go complete the mission and stop standing around," Lia said

"Well let's see how this whole thing works out, Nolan let's head out" Emmy said and immediately they both left.

"Nolan, hmmm," she said pressing against her tab book, which looked like a wrist watch and then a phone-like frame appeared in the air.

[Connecting voice call]

"What is it, Lia? Why are you calling me?" a deep dark voice said in a dark room seemingly with no light at all.

"Nothing much, the forms I sent you now, I need you to keep an eye on the one called Nolan," she said

"Hmmm, it's quite odd for you to be so interested in someone, why do you want me to keep my eyes on him," the voice asked

"I don't know I just can tell why I get this feeling of him," she said

"Alright I'll try my best," the dark voice said, and 'Ting' he cut the call, Lia let out a deep sigh.

"let's see how things will turn out with you in this game Nolan Grim.

We have with us here Kran Solace the world's best researcher and philanthropist the one who has created the void which is currently protecting our planet Earth from the hot solar radiation of the sun.

Sir Solace what do you have to say about this game, from our sources we have found out that you along with your team of researchers were personally paid by the government to participate in the research and find the most appropriate solution to the current problems we are facing that's why we are here to find out more from you to keep the people calm, what do you have to say?' the reporter asked

Wearing his glasses and his black suit, Solace was seated side by side with the reporter their chairs slightly bent so they'd be facing each other, he looked quite old, to say the least like someone who was about to enter his late sixties as all his hair had turned grey from age albeit he still looked plump and healthy.

"well it hasn't been long since I started researching on this project and I haven't found out much concerning this game, but from my research, I have noticed that the chip given to all the players earlier has been deeply ingrained into their brain cells so that it can simulate all the activities going on inside the game effectively, it keeps the players in some kind of dream state, so it's safe to say that whatever happens in the game will also affect the players in reality and this means that the most players will die if they are killed in the game while a hand few will escape with a partial stroke" Solace said calmly with a solemn expression as he was still deep in thoughts.

From this information doesn't it mean that surgery can be done to remove the said chip from the players?' the reporter asked

"Yes that is indeed possible, but you are best advised not to as the chips have been programmed in such a way that any external contact will immediately set off the program and the brain will be burnt instantly," Solace said

That is cruel' the reporter stated "I wouldn't agree any better but our hands are tied we can only do more research and wait in anticipation for a better result" Solace said grimly.

You have all heard it so please calm down people as our best researchers will surely help in finding a solution to this problem we will take a short break.

In a dark room sitting on a sofa a man could be seen watching the news "Solace your indeed a smart man but how far will it take you" a deep dark dreaded voice could be heard in the room the anger visible in his voice.
