Heading for the quest

----------

"So what do you think we should use as a means of transport?" Kinki asked Emax aggressively as the two were now locked in an argument that she obviously wanted to win.

"A train would be far faster than a carriage, they are worlds apart in terms of there speed" Emax said trying to point out the fact making out gestures that screamed! "Don't you get it!?"

It was shocking to have the two mixed up in a world like this, it was as though they were leaving in the mediaval era but with advanced technology at the same time.

The clothes worn by the NPC's was depicting an old era but the technology round them took them to the modern times.

"Well you're right Emax...." Emmy stated, causing a large smile to spread across his face. with Emmy's support he would be able to win the argument. It wasn't relevant but he wouldn't miss the opportunity to rub it on her face.

"......But i don't think we have as much nano points to waste on a train so the best option is a carriage" Emmy declared.

Kinki proudly puffed out her chest with a mocking smile that said, "I told you so"

Nolan wasn't quite used to all these group is a thing and even he was it was mostly with Allison both in school and any other place they went to.

This was his first time being so far from Allison and I a different group from her as well.

Sure the both of them argued just like the two who were arguing a few seconds and they did everything like a normal group would, although sometimes their relationship seemed a bit more intimate.

Often times they had other group members but he hardly talked to them, it was mostly Allison. So being in a group like this, especially one with strangers which he had just met out of the blues was still a bit weird for hi. This was why he kept neutral even in most of their discussion where his opinion was needed.

Altogether he figured he hadn't really opened up to any other person except Allison.

"Seems you're an introverted person" Ra said.

"No I'm not I just don't talk much" Nolan retorted.

"Someone who doesn't talk much and often thinks a lot" That's a perfect description for an introvert if you ask me " Ra said.

"I don't have your time, you can say whatever you want to say" There was an easy trick to getting Ra to keep shut and that was. by ignoring it. Nolan noticed this and had perfected the act.

".....I bargained with the coach man the carriage will only cost 100NP 20 from each of us"

"That's wonderful, then let's get going" Frank said delightfully as he went past Emmy approaching the carriage.

".....But there's a slight a slight issue" Emmy said with a wryly smile "...The space is not enough so we will have to ...She paused slightly giving a light cough... Carry ourselves" She completed.

Nolan this time was the first to react, his eyes widened as he heard this. He was the least most comfortable around any girl that wasn't Allison.

Generally, it was due to the fact that Allison made sure no girl ever neared him and whenever he interacted with any she'd usually give him the silent treatment which he hated a lot.

So in a tight up space where he might have a girl sitting on top of him, several thoughts blossomed in his mind. He could imagine Allison's wicked face staying away from him for the whole month.

A sudden feeling of claustrophobia engulfed him.

"I don't think I can do that" Nolan objected nervously, and the whole group turned to look at him.

"Why though?" Emmy was the first to ask, apparently shocked by Nolan's disapproval.

"It's not something I can explain" Nolan replied bluntly trying to evade the topic.

"Nothing is gonna happen pal, just calm down it's just a. game" Frank said as though reading his mind. He gave him a hit on the back, to get himself together.

Gulping hardly to keep his calm, Nolan just nodded his head and with his approval the group set off.

Nolan pulled back a bit resting his back on the wooden back of the carriage, the carriage was tightly spaced, not giving them even the slightest space for movement.

Despite the condition everyone seemed okay with this except one man whose mind was currently in turmoil.

"Are you a simp or what?" Ra said to Nolan who was now sweating profusely.

Normally he didn't have claustrophobia, that is a fear of tight spaces but the thought of Allison seeing him like this kept him in such a state.

"Look I won't need your chit chat now, I'm trying to get this off my mind" Nolan said, looking for the best position to sit. Her body was far too close to him giving him a cringe feeling and worse of it all she was sitting on top his lap giving a sensational feeling. He was surprised how the game was even giving such a feeling far better than his normal body would. It felt as though his senses were even more heightened in the game, he wasn't comfortable in the slightest.

"This place is a bit too hot am starting to doubt if this is really a game" Kinki complained.

"Yeah the heat is quite similar to the one on earth and the sun here looks so realistic" Emmy supported trying to reposition herself to get some fresh air. In the process her large boobs pressed on Nolan's head.

"Wtf...." Nolan screamed inwardly, of course in a normal situation he would've appreciated such an opportunity as an average guy, although he knew he still wouldn't.

However, his feeling of claustrophobia overwhelmed him . He felt as though two round balls were trying to squash him and he felt his lungs tightening up.

"Haa, probably the best death for every man. My grace you should be glad that you died by the wonderful beauty of a woman's boobs" Ra's taunting voice rang in his head.

It was times like these he actually wished that the idiot had a physical form so he could beat the hell out of it. Nolan could imagine the system throwing a evil smirk at his demise. He began wondering if really this system wanted him alive.

"We've arrived," the coachman announced. At that moment that single statement had become one Nolan would appreciate all his life, although he still had to wait for the others to step out from the carriage.

Emmy and the others were shocked to see Nolan ghastly looking figure still inside the carriage as they all came out.

He was pale white as though he was just pulled out of a fridge.

Nolan took a long deep breath, giving his body color. It took him a little more time to recover before he finally stepped down from the carriage and was welcomed by the notification.

[-20NP for carriage]

It was expected though, summing up all the NP from the others it would amount to the agreed price.

As they stepped down from the carriage, they could see the small looking village which had contrasting characteristics from what they'd met back at modern city.

They were small houses looking more like huts with thatched roofs. The ground was bare filled with dust and sand particles. Though the NPC's who were living in the area seemed to have no problem with this and infact were filled with smiles and happy faces. They'd grown to accept the condition they found themselves in.

From the side a girl approached the group carrying a basket of what seemed to be like orange apples. She had better clothes on, when compared to the others and looked far more healthy and vibrant than the other kids that were playing on the streets.

"Are you adventurers sent by the kingdom to save our village" She questioned the group with a timid and somewhat fearful voice.

"Yes" Emmy replied with a warm smile, which worked well to calm the little girls nerves.

"We don't have much to offer but can you have these, for making out your time to come here" The girl said shyly bowing her head low showing the vibrant red color of her hair, while also offering them the fruits she had in her hands.

[Dulcis Fruit]

[A nourishing and delicious fruit from the whistling forest with the ability to add to the characters stamina!]

There was a ping in Nolan's system immediately telling him the name of the fruit and it's ability as well.

Emmy glanced back at the group as she wasn't certain if they were allowed to receive things from NPC's especially things like these that they had no idea what it was or the effects it would have on them and the normal system wouldn't let them in on such information.

"There's nothing wrong with them, you can take it" Nolan said reassuringly as he noticed the uncertainty in the faces of the others.

"Are you sure it's good" Emmy asked, to be certain.

"Yeah" he simply replied. With Nolan's approval the rest of the group conceded with the decision.

"Where are we going to drop these things now? " Emmy suddenly asked as she collected the basket of fruits from the little girl.

"I'on know, you can perhaps give it to her and tell her to hold it till we're done with the mission" Emax gave his opinion.

"You keep forgetting that she's an NPC" Kinki commented against it, just as fast.

Emax threw a deadly stare at her, the both were soon locked in a stare battle, throwing daggers at each other.

"Hmph" Kinki snorted.

Emmy looked towards Nolan with pleading eyes and he could tell with the look she gave him just what she wanted him to do and Frank what was standing by he side understood as well, letting a slight chuckle he said,

"Nolan since you're the one who suggested we carry the fruits it. will only be right if you carry it and follow the rest of us" Frank voiced out his suggestion finally pinning the nail on Nolan.

Nolan heaved a sigh, "Alright then I'll carry the basket" he said as he collected the basket of fruits from Emmy.

Emmy turned back to the little girl who then continued, "Follow me honoured guests, my dad the village chief will have to speak to you on the mission you're about to embark on" The little girl said as she turned leading the group to the village chiefs house.

As they passed the road they received barrages of greetings and they could see the glints of hope in the eyes of the people.

They had almost forgotten that they were all NPC characters.
