The Devil's Allegiance

"Damien?" Zamiel called out in a startle-filled tone, his brows furrowed in displeasure at the sight before him, but amidst all confusion was etched on his usually blank face.

"I was there for him in his time of need, I showed him the way, he no longer has a weakness to come in the way of his goal." Lucifer's voice reverberated through the dark air as he spoke while approaching Damien to stand beside him.

"What have you done to him?" Zamiel growled darkly, making the air ripple with danger.

"I have done nothing. Demons like him are special, fated to have no mates, no weaknesses and no vulnerabilities. If only you could see the future he sees, you'd stop this vain search for hope and love." Lucifer implied with a persuasive tone that seemed to ensnare one into the path of darkness, tapping into his infernal lineage burning within him, but his resolve lay strong and unshaken by his dark promises.
