As Helen entered the grand hall, her keen eyes immediately detected a shift in Conradin's expression. The determined and resolute look that had adorned his face during their earlier encounters had been replaced by an unmistakable sense of pity.

"Have you asked for me, Your Highness?" Helen inquired, her voice tinged with both curiosity and a subtle undercurrent of concern. Conradin nodded solemnly, his gaze unwaveringly fixed upon her as he began to speak.

"Yes, Helen," he responded, his words laden with solemnity. "During my negotiations with the Pope, I brought up the subject of my uncle, Manfred. I requested absolution for his sins and the opportunity to bury his body in sacred ground."
