Assassination Averted

"Good morning," Brian said, rubbing his eyes in a languid voice.

"OK, so let's borrow the bathroom." Jackson got up vigorously and walked towards the toilet door. "Huh? Locked?"

"I'm changing; wait for me." Alicia's voice came from behind the door.

"Brian, help me find a lockpicking tool." Jackson said these words sleepily.

"It's too late; I've already changed." Alicia opened the door and came out. She was wearing a white T-shirt and blue shorts, showing her long legs.

"Why do you have Alicia's clothes?" Jackson asked.

"That's what I forgot to bring back last time," Alicia said.

"What was the last time?" Jackson showed a surprised expression.

"She brought a friend over to my house." Brian rummaged through his clothes.

"How lucky are you?" Jackson sighed with a look of regret.

"Shut up, put on your clothes; I have to do my laundry." Alicia picked up the clothes that were on Brian's chair.

"Okay, eh, wait a minute!" Jackson noticed that Brian had already entered the bathroom and said, "I want to flush first."

"Why so noisy?" Lily got up and stretched her waist. "Hey, who is this?"

"Alicia, member of the disciplinary committee." Jackson shrugged.

"Who are you?"

"Jackson is also a member of the Disciplinary Committee."

"Okay, Lily, you go home quickly; I'm afraid you will scold your brother." Brian's voice came from the bathroom.

"Hey, he also wants to go to the library; anyway, he can control where I go? I guess it's my sister!" Lily said.

"Sure enough, it's Missy." Jackson complained in his heart.

At this moment, they are having breakfast in a luxurious western food restaurant. Lily eats a bag of French fries and a cup of black coffee; Alicia eats a plate of salad and a cup of milk tea; Jackson eats a sandwich and a glass of orange juice; and Brian eats a plate of Italian noodles (I told the waiter to put less) and a cup of iced coffee.

"This is the happiest moment I've ever had!" Jackson said, putting the sandwich on the plate. "You'll be my big sister now. Oh, sorry, Alicia."

"Should I say you are ungrateful, or..." Alicia showed a kind smile.

Jackson was often rescued by Alicia when he was a child, so he has recognized Alicia as his eldest sister since he was a child.

"You're dead," Brian thought.

"Okay, so there's a big company making androids for some weird purpose, and what purpose are we going to talk about now?" Alicia said.

"Okay, if you want to spill the beans to the Harmony family next to us," Jackson said, watching the 3-year-old next to him scramble for a tablet with his father.

"Hey, take a look, but don't turn your head away." Everyone followed Lily's words and squinted at the window next to them.

There was a man in sunglasses wearing a woollen cap, a long sports shirt, and black sweatpants standing across the road, smoking a cigarette against a street lamp. His hand movements seemed to be playing a Moba game.

"That guy pretended to be, but he forgot one thing, that is, when playing Moba games, you don't look up to see who is walking by in front of you." Lily said.

"Then you go to the toilet first; Alicia, you stay with her; we'll see how he reacts." Brian's plan made Jackson nod.

They did what Brian told them to do, and the guy started crossing the street, entered the store, ordered from the waiter at the counter, sat at the table next to us, and kept fiddling with his phone, trying to make us think he was playing a Moba game, which in fact proved to be very successful.

"Uh, is there anyone sitting on these two chairs?" the boy asked Brian.

"...Yes." Brian hesitated but answered anyway.

"Smart." Jackson couldn't help but say

"So where are they now?" The question had Brian and Jackson pondering it.

You can't tell; after all, he has been staring at them all the time. If he is found out, he might be tortured to extract a confession; this is what Brian and Jackson hate the most.

"In the bathroom." Brian's answer caught Jackson by surprise.

"Male and female."

"Female." Brian said as he looked towards the door of the women's room. Jackson immediately understood, so he leisurely went to the men's room.

"Why is it so late? Forget it; let's go to the bathroom first." The boy went to the men's bathroom, and Brian showed a smug smile.

"Jackson, what are you doing here?" Alicia said to Jackson, who opened the portal, in a threatening tone,

Jackson's ability is to open a portal on the wall or floor, which can shrink, but the height and width are limited by his height.

"Stop talking nonsense; that person is coming in!" Jackson whispered, and Alicia saw the anxious expression on his face and chose to believe him.

"Go." Alicia took Lily's hand and jumped into the portal. Jackson quickly closed the portal.

"Did you leave any footprints?" Jackson asked.

"We're standing on the wind." Lily shrugged. "Where is this?"

"I have locked the door to the dressing room of the clothing store next door."

"Then how do we get back?"

"I'll go back to the men's room first; I don't want to be found by that guy. As for you, just stay here; I can't guarantee that this guy won't check the men's room." Jackson's answer made Alicia and Lily laugh.

He went back to the toilet in the men's room and closed the door, and a few seconds later he heard a creaking sound from the window of the toilet, and he knew that the guy had crawled back from the women's room.

He seemed to hear the guy say "Damn" a few times. He suddenly flushed the toilet and opened the door to see the guy's face. He was a little sad and annoyed at the moment, but when he saw Jackson, he pretended to do nothing.

He walked past Jackson abruptly and started opening the other doors, trying to find the one that was always behind the door, and after opening the last door, he also came to the conclusion that there wasn't one.

So he left.

He placed the portal entrance in the women's room, and when he felt the two of them step out of the portal, he closed it.

That's how they escaped assassination.
