Back in 2013, the US government sliced off a chunk of NYC and handed it over to the superpowered bunch, forming this place called "TOWER" It's just ready for superhumans—no regular folks allowed.
Then, in 2014, other countries started copying the US move. Similar mini-cities popped up in those countries too, but only in the wealthy ones.
Fast forward to 2023, when World War III explodes. Nuclear weapons turned the air into a slow poison, choking everyone. Those sliced-off cities were safe havens. They had these unbreakable shields that kept the nastiness out. So, all the survivors got ushered into these government-guarded cities.
Our story takes place in "TOWER"

The Guardians of "TOWER"

"Al... Alice?" Janice exclaimed, turning her head in surprise.


"Alright, what's going on?" Alice walked over, her fist clenched but not tightly.


"Uh..." Tana looked at the person in front of her with suspicion and pretended to be organizing her words.


"Well, you see, we're being chased by someone. They're trying to catch us, but we're not sure of their intentions yet," Janice stepped forward and explained directly.


"And who is this enemy?" Alice's clenched fist turned into an open palm.


Alice pulled out a gun, Janice did the same, while Tana just stood there, watching the two in front of her.


Janice knelt down first, her gun bouncing off the ground and landing heavily after a slight jump. She then collapsed onto the ground, not visibly wounded, but her entire body twitched on the floor. She had been hit by an electric bullet.


Alice's abdomen was bleeding continuously. Her gun slid to the front of her left foot, and then her skin began to peel off, revealing a naked middle-aged person underneath. There was a thick sticker on his abdomen, with a hole in it, turning the blue into red.


He spat out a mouthful of blood. His uncontrollable left leg kicked the gun in front of Tana, before stumbling back two steps, his right hand pressing on the bleeding area.


Tana had already picked up the gun, gifting a hole in the middle-aged person's forehead.


He fell to the ground, his right hand resting weakly on the ground, blood from his forehead sticking to his skull, while his abdomen finally started bleeding freely.


However, Tana was hit too. She screamed and then her whole body convulsed.


These were electric bullets, and given that most of Tana's body was made up of water, it turned into a conductor for electricity, plunging Tana into darkness.


Electric Shock
