RUDE

As the needle went into the fabric to pass the thread, Julie was reminded of how John was always trusting into her. She took her eyes off the sewing machine to get the thought off her head. "Why do I keep remembering things like this?" she looked at the lady sitting close to her, she was engrossed in her cell phone and laughing so loud.

Maybe Eve was a blessing in some ways, at least she referred someone to Julie even without the "influence" of a thing.

Julie pulled the fabric and turned it inside out, to check if the sewing came out the way she had wanted it to. She nodded her head in a satisfying manner, tossed the fabric to the chair close to her and picked another fabric which she had cut to a desired pattern earlier.

"How long will the dress still take?" The lady asked in the loudest voice Julie ever heard.

Julie gave no response, instead, she focused on her sewing machine and kept on sewing. "She is the direct opposite of Eve." She whispered in her mind. She kept on sewing for about a minute when her phone rang. Normally, she wouldn't have answered the call until she was done sewing, but Moninca was the one calling. "Hi." she whispered and placed the phone below her ear, guiding it with her shoulder, and still went on sewing.

"You sewing this early?" Monica asked sounding very amazed.

"My dear, I will have to resume work by seven in the morning now, the type of customers I am getting thes days are morning people."

"That's good, John was here yesterday, he was really searching for you." Julie didn't say anything. "You're not going to say anything?"

"Did you speak to him?"

"Yes."

"What did you tell him?" Julie asked again.

"I told him to leave and never come back."

Julie stopped sewing and held her phone with her hand, releasing her shoulders from the heavy task. "And what did he say in response?"

"He wanted to act stubborn at first, but later succumbed."

"You did a good job, having him in my life at the moment will do no good."

"Jule don't lie to me." Monica said softly. "I know you aren't happy with the way I told him off, are you?"

Julie giggled. "What do you mean? I am happy you saved me from another disaster, that man absolutely has nothing to add to my life." she sighed. "I am not allowing people into my my life anyhow if they don't have anything to offer, I have learnt more than enough lessons."

"I will catch up with you later, I have something to attend to." Monica ended the call.

Julie exhaled deeply and dropped her phone on the other side of the sewing machine. Does John really has nothing to offer?

"We don't have much time, yet, you still answer calls and feel comfortable with it." The lady said loudly.

"How much are you paying me?"

"What?!" The lady asked again loudly.

"I just want to know if it worth ordering me around like a dog." Julie said with her loudest voice too, and it put the lady to a tough silence.

*********

Mirabella watched closely, how Diva was almost making a mess with the food because she just kept on stirring and stirring, and how her son buried his head in his cell phone. "We don't bring cell phones to the dinning table in this house." she whispered as if she weren't referring to anyone in particular.

"It's work related, If I don't do it, you will be the first person to throw heavy tantrums." John replied softly.

"And why do you keep stirring the food? If you aren't going to eat just go back upstairs and stop making me want to throw up." she lashed at Diva.

"I am going back home today." Diva said and dropped the spoon. "I don't like it here anymore, no one really likes me here." she looked at John. "Especially him."

The both of them stared at Diva for a while and continue with what they were doing.

"You both aren't going to say anything?" Diva asked.

"It's your choice to leave or stay, you are matured enough to make such decisions." Mirabella snapped.

"You've been acting weird to me since I told you about Neo." The both of them looked at her again.

"What did you just say?" Mirabella asked glaring at her.

"Why are you glaring at me in such manner?"

"What is it about Neo?" John asked and dropped his phone.

"Ask your mom, I told her about it yesterday and she took sides with him." Diva said with a sneer.

"Diva." John called calmly with a smile and she smiled back. "Have you always been this rude to your mom? Or you don't have one?"

She frowned and asked. "What is that supposed to mean?"

"If you haven't been this rude to your own mother, I am sure you won't be rude to mine." He faced his mom. "Is this what you want me to marry?"

"You are the one being rude now!" Diva clapped her hands.

"I am done." John stood and walked back to his room.

"Go back home as soon as you are done eating." Mirabella said with the sneer still on her face and walked briskly upstairs, as she walked, her slippers made loud noises, loud enough to wake anyone.

Diva watched her in silence, until she disappeared into one if the rooms upstairs.

Mirabella knew she over reacted to Diva and it almost told her off, but she can't seem to hide her feelings. She could bet anything that Neo never made advances at her, it could even before vice versa and when he turned Diva down, she got annoyed and decided to make him look like the crazy one.

The look on Mirabella's face turned to a bitter frown when she saw Neo approaching her again. "Why do I always run into him almost everytime?" she asked in her head.
